Incredible cooking class! - The whole experience was incredible. Going to the local market to hand pick our ingredients for dinner (while also trying some tasty local snacks). The house was beautiful and it was so nice to meet her wonderful and kind family. Getting to make the dinner, from the place mats, grinding the spices and putting everything together made the already delicious meal even better. Overall and awesome experience that both my friend and I loved. One our best meals in Cambodia!

BOOK IT!!! - If you're looking for a great Phnom Penh experience, just book this. You can read the review if you want, but save yourself some time. Book the cooking class, eat the meal. Having done those, we wish we'd also stayed the night. 10/10. 5 Stars. Whatever your grading scale, this experience is a MUST. The hostess is gracious, fun and friendly. Her family are a pleasure to meet and help with the food preparation and cooking. Her home is gorgeous, with a beautiful entertaining area and a lawn my dad would be proud of. The cooking of the dishes is light-hearted, informative and entertaining. We were made to feel super welcome, and the food was sublime. Oh my God, it was good. 100% the best thing we have done in Phnom Penh.

A relaxed, enjoyable learning experience - This was a great opportunity to learn something about Cambodian daily life as well as cuisine, as the location is outside the city in a more typical large village. We visited the market to buy ingredients, so were able to ask questions about the foods, quite a few of which were new to us. We were welcomed in the hostess' home and set to "work" assisted by various family members, who were all friendly and helpful. The cooking itself brought in some techniques that were new and the end results were delicious. The entire experience was unhurried and very much like being with good friends you haven't seen in a while, even though we'd just met. One of the most pleasant evenings I've had in a long while, and I didn't feel like a tourist.

Must Do!!!! Amazing.. - Amazing, authentic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience in a village home. The family was so welcoming. We were shown around the markets to select the ingredients for our chicken amok. Each of the steps were explained and we participated in making the meal. We are truely great full for being able to be involved in such an unforgettable family experience. Thankyou so much for your hospitality and welcoming us into your home,

Wonderful cooking experience, not to be missed - We had a truly wonderful time with Sophors and her fabulous family. We crossed on the ferry and met her nephew Sophan and then met Sophors and visited the market to buy ingredients for the delicious Amok that we were going to make. We went to her lemon grass field to harvest the lemon grass. We chopped and chatted, found out all about the dishes we were making and lots of information about Cambodia 🇰🇭 We prepared vegetables and fish and chicken amok, followed by bananas in palm sugar. Sophors is a truly amazing person and we feel privileged to have met her. She welcomed us into her beautiful home and garden. Thank you for one of the most memorable days of our 6 week trip. Please visit “meet the province” You will not be disappointed

Amazing experience and the most warm-hearted family - We were 2 pairs of friends. Was picked up/met at the ferry by the sweet Sopho (nephew) of the hostess. We were at the market and shopping with Sophos. Afterwards we went to her very well-furnished and clean Homestay, where we met the whole family. Sisters, children, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Everyone was so sweet and warm-hearted, we got such a good story about culture, cooking and enjoyed ourselves cooking the dish Amok with great guidance. We all ate at the table together (our wish and we insisted) we also had dessert. Bananas fried in palm sugar and coconut. Everything was so delicious. Nice toilet facilities - one for men and one for women. Bathing conditions also looked fine if you wanted to stay in a homestay. Sophos is a very strong and independent woman. Also very eloquent in English. Most of the family also spoke a little English. Even the little daughter Khanja aged 4. We were followed to the ferry again and we were even driven to our hotel by the nephew - of course for a little extra payment. All in all such a fantastic experience and we recommend everyone to visit here. The price is more than reasonable compared to the experience.
