- Mekong Island - Koh Dach - Embark on a journey across two of Mekong Island’s locales via Tuk Tuk, accompanied by an expert local guide familiar with the inhabitants’ way of life, agricultural practices, traditional weaving operations, and several Buddhist temples that symbolize the nation’s religious heritage.
At the outset, your guide will lead you through the community settlements on the island, stopping at a local enterprise that specializes in the production of bean curd for commerce. A visit to the neighborhood market will offer insights into the daily routines of the residents. There will also be an opportunity to sample some of the regional cuisine and desserts.
Subsequently, we’ll travel by Tuk Tuk across the agricultural lands, observing the cultivation of ginger, corn, cucumbers, and other vegetables, as well as mango and banana plantations. Our journey continues to Silk Island, where we’ll discover a communal silk factory dedicated to preserving their ancestral weaving techniques.
