Highlights
  • Rattanakosin (Bangkok Old City) - Discuss with a professional tour guide to decide where to start and what to visit around Rattanakosin Island. There are many options based on your interests. (Take 15 minutes to plan or inform us via message beforehand). We also have some recommendations to get you started.
  • Wat Phra Chetuphon - This is one of Bangkok’s famous landmarks, known for the Reclining Buddha. Also called Wat Pho, the admission fee is 300 THB per person. Walk around and learn about its history related to the Chakri Dynasty.
  • Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit) - Home to the world’s largest solid gold Buddha (as per the Guinness World Records), this temple is near Yaowarat’s Chinatown. Wat Traimit also houses a Chinese people museum. (Admission 140 THB)
  • Chinatown / Yaowarat - One of the oldest areas in Bangkok, Chinatown emerged from the resettlement of Chinese people on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River after King Rama I moved the capital from Thonburi to Rattanakosin.
  • Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market) - The largest flower market in Bangkok, open 24/7. Walk around to see the beautiful fresh flowers. The market serves both consumers and wholesalers, attracting a wide variety of customers. Many local florists visit early in the morning to stock up for the day.
  • Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit - This temple houses Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Thailand’s oldest higher education institute for Buddhist monks. It is one of the most important universities in Thailand, with faculties in human sciences, social sciences, an international program, and a graduate college. The first class was admitted in 1889, and by 1997, both universities became public institutions.
  • Wat Ratchanatdaram Woravihara (Loha Prasat) - Loha Prasat, meaning iron castle or iron monastery, is located at Wat Ratchanatdaram. It is based on an old Buddhist design and modeled after two earlier structures in Shravasti, India, and Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, both of which no longer exist. This Loha Prasat is the only one remaining. (Donate 20 THB per person in the donation box)
  • Tiger God Shrine - Known in Thai as “San Chaopho Suea,” this shrine was built in 1834 during the reign of King Rama III. Originally located on Bamrung Mueang Road, it was moved to Tanao Road by the command of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). The shrine houses statues of Chinese Supreme Beings, including the Tiger God (Xuan Tian Shang Di), Lord Guan (God of Honesty), Caishen (God of Fortune), Dai Seng Ya (Monkey God), and Mazu (Goddess of the Sea), revered by both Thai and Chinese people. (Donations are optional)
  • Pahurat - Known as Little India, Phahurat is a short street divided into two parts. The first part continues from Ban Mo Road at Ban Mo Intersection to where it meets Tri Phet Road at Phahurat Intersection. The second part branches off from the west side of Chak Phet Road in the Saphan Han area and ends at Phahurat Intersection. This area is known for its South Asian community and textile market, extending to nearby Chak Phet Road and Tri Phet Road.
  • Wat Prayurawongsawat Worawihan - Wat Prayoon received an Award of Excellence in 2013 from the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation. Near the temple stupa is a turtle garden where you can sit and enjoy feeding the turtles.

Nice boat ride - Good boat trip with Elena, note that the trip is dependent on several factors, so consider a bit more time than 2 hours. Overall, a nice experience!
