Incredibly disappointing, unengaging, and overpriced - Unfortunately, this tour was extremely disappointing. As a disclaimer I was the only person on this tour, which meant that there was a smaller budget available for the meal, this was ok with me and I elected to cover the additional cost instead of enjoying the meal less, and despite being surprised that a tour this expensive had such a small budget, this was not the main source of my grievance. Traveling during the low season in Thailand means it is common to be the only customer on a tour and in all my other experiences the tour guides dealt with this perfectly. However, on this tour, the guide said very little to me, and I felt that I learned nothing from the tour. We visited a couple of viewpoints over beaches, which while beautiful, would have been much more enjoyable if the tour guide had some notes to make at each point. Instead, I was whisked from one view to another with no context. When asked the guide said she had been guiding for over 30 years, which was surprising to me as I felt like I have had better experiences with guides who have only been doing this for a couple of months. There was little conversation and we spent most of this trip in silence, with the guide frequently looking at her phone. I am beyond disappointed, I paid a decent amount of money to do this tour, and I feel like I was let down, I learned nothing about southern Thai food or culture, and the food we ate wasn't anything that interesting. I would advise against this tour if you are looking to be engaged and interested, perhaps the tour is best suited to people who want transport to various viewpoints, in silence, and for far too much money.
