A great day out - recommended. - We found this tour excellent. One driver and 3 couples in a very comfortable people carrier and a well organised 9 hours from hotel pick up to drop off. The driver (Pedro) was multilingual, very informative, helpful and friendly; the wine testing experience was the best we have ever had; the views of the Douro valley are great (both from the road and boat tour) and the huge lunch was brilliant coping very well with different dietary needs.

A must when visiting Porto - A highlight of our trip to Porto and highly recommended. We were picked up from our hotel in a very comfortable Mercedes with an excellent tour guide and spent a wonderful day in the Douro stopping for viewing shots along the way before a fantastic wine/port tasting in a family run vineyard. This was followed by a boat trip down the Douro river departing from Pinhao with a glass of port in hand. We then stopped at the most authentic farmhouse for a fabulous lunch with amazing views over the valley. Would highly recommend to anyone to spend a day exploring this fabulous region

Treat yourself to this day out - Fabulous day spent in the Douro valley. Picked up by lovely tour guide with two other couples. Informative commentary all the way. Visit to winery was interesting and got to taste some lovely regional wines and ports. Boat trip was a treat with beautiful views and much to admire. Home cooked lunch at owners home. Can’t recommend enough for personal treatment and good experience.

on the top 5 things to do in Portugal - Definitely on the top 5 things to do in Portugal. Our guide David was superb! He picked us up in Porto and drove all the way to Douro Valley. He filled us with so much interesting information about the Valley. The wine-cellar Quinta and tastings were first class ! The traditional and authentic lunch was the cherry on top! perfect food and wines!

It makes a difference!!! - Incredible experience🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾!!. Excellent farm that we visited, good food and above all good guides, Nuno was incredible from the moment he picked us up from our accommodation and throughout the experience, very knowledgeable and always with a good disposition and kindness. The owner Zé Ricardo gave a warm welcome and we can't forget to mention the ladies who made our lunch who also made all the difference. A different tour that deserves the experience. Congratulations 👏🏽👏🏽 I highly recommend the experience, you won't regret it. Super adjusted and worthy quality price. ☺️☺️

A truly memorable day - We booked this on recommendation of a tour kiosk and did. It disappoint We were collected from our hotel in a luxury SUV with Wi-Fi and bottle md water. The guide was Monmo and he lived in the Douro valley and is from a wine background. The tastings of wine and port were wonderful with no pressure to buy with lots of delicious snacks of almonds and bread with olive oil. The boat ride was pleasant and lunch was fabulous and traditional. Freshly cooked and organic. A truly memorable day.

Great Douro Tour - We saw lots of tours for less money listed on Trip Advisor but we are very happy our hotel suggested this one. As our concierge mentioned, the river boats put you on the river the whole day, they get boring, and you get no personal attention. This company put us in a van with two other couples and we had a wonderful day marveling the terraced wineries, enjoying cliff side views of the river, and a short-ish river cruise of an hour or so. The highlights were the scenery and actually getting IN to the winery areas, the visit to a 150 year old winery, and a large lunch cooked at a beautiful private farm. The lunch was spectacular as was the building itself. Very glad we made this decision.

Wonderful tour through the Douro Valley - The Douro Valley is worth a visit even in rainy weather. In winter, we don't see the vines, but the almond trees are already blooming, adding a special touch to the landscape. The entire route was very pleasant with our guide Davi. Our first stop was Quinta Seara D orders where we tasted wines and olive oils, as well as locally produced and very tasty nuts and sweets! Afterwards the boat trip along the Douro River with wine and snacks was also very pleasant. We finished with a delicious and extremely cozy lunch in the middle of the afternoon.

Day trip to Duoro - It was a last minute decision but highlight of our trip in Porto. Our driver Nuno was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The winery we visited, Quinta Seara D’Ordens, was fantastic; produced wine and olive oil. Boat cruise on Duoro River was relaxing. Nuno even packed snacks and port wine for us to enjoy. Late lunch at their farm was a memorable experience, with great home cooked food and cozy atmosphere. We highly recommend Duoro First Tours for anyone who wants to do a day trip to explore Duoro region.

Great guide and tour - but over-priced for what it covered - The driver and guide was excellent - he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The review is mainly related to the price of €160 per person, which was very high compared to other comparable tours. As other reviews have noted, you spend most of the day in a van, which was a bit cramped, to then spend an hour at one. winery, one hour on a Douro boat tour (that costs €12.50 per person at the gate), followed by a very nice lunch at the family home of the tour company owner. Overall it was a nice day but the price was very high for what the tour covered (even taking into account wine at lunch and port and snacks on the boat).
