- Miradouro Torguiano De Sao Cristovao Do Douro - This is the first viewpoint in the heart of the Douro Valley! From here, you can take in the stunning views of Pinhão, the docking site from which Port Wine was historically shipped to England, with an initial stop at Vila Nova de Gaia for aging.
- Douro River - The Douro River, which lends its name to the region, is a highlight of this tour. Here, you can enjoy a boat cruise from Pinhão, lasting about 50 minutes, offering spectacular views of vineyards on the steep terraces. This experience promises plenty of scenic beauty.

- Pinhao Railway Station - Established in 1880, the Pinhao Railway Station was the first to connect the village of Pinhão to Porto. Before its existence, villagers relied on boat travel, which took five times longer than the train journey to reach the metropolitan city. In 1937, the station was adorned with 24 beautiful tile panels depicting various aspects of village life. Still operational today, it remains an iconic landmark in Pinhão.

This is a private tour, so I will pick you up on a 5 seater car with no one else, to experience the region and it’s wines in local family wineries, away from the big bus tours and comercial venues. It’s authentic and it supports the local economy, not the big corporations.
The option for the boat cruise can also be private or in a regular local boat cruise.
