- Torre Velia di Ascea - The archaeological site is located in the Piana di Velia district, in the municipality of Ascea. Very interesting is the necropolis and the Porta Rosa, a journey through time where Greeks, Lucanians and Romans have left their testimonies. The city, also known for the figures of Parmenides and Zeno, founders of the famous Eleatic philosophical school, which reached a great development in the Hellenistic period and in much of the Roman age.

Ancient civilizations, richer elderly and young people - A wonder not as famous as other sites nearby which does not disappoint those who decide to visit the excavations. A dive into ancient civilizations (Greek, Lucanian, Roman) made by old students (diploma 1971) with the literature and Latin professor (90 years old) still alert and lively who still gives us many cultural satisfactions. If we add to this the preparation of the guide Fernanda and above all her passion and love for that area, you will return home much richer.

Entry ticket is good for Velia and Paestum! Don’t miss either. Amazing uncovered history. - Archeologists are working on site as you tour. Wonderful view of area from tower. Guides are available and recommended. You will never look at a grassy slope in Italy the same.

Archaeological park and tower of Velia - Very interesting visit inside a park with breathtaking views and views. The guide, Anna, very knowledgeable and engaging, answered all our curiosities and questions with professionalism and passion, attentive to all members of the group, young and old. The ticket valid for three days including the visit to Paestum is a winning idea, as is the family ticket! U
