When it comes to Colorado whitewater, hardly anyone knows about the San Miguel River. Which is kind of a surprise! Given how much fun it is, on top of being in proximity to bougie and beloved Telluride.
The rafting section is gorgeously scenic, exciting for all experience levels, and pretty much a must if you want to spend the morning like a local. Its red sandstone canyon juxtaposed by flourishing pine forests make for a picturesque setting to recreate on this Rocky Mountain river.
Anyone who loves the outdoors will have an absolute hoot on this tour, whether it’s your first or hundredth time rafting. Just ask our guides, most— if not all!— will agree that the San Miguel is their favorite river to run.

A PERFECT DAY!!! - THIS WAS THE BEST!!!!! I had a little trouble with the reservation when I arrived but Hannah quickly had it ironed out and I was on the River in no time. She and the other guide, Bananas, made it a perfect ride. The support staff seamlessly worked with the guides to deal with the equipment, the boats and transporting us. You can feel a family vibe between them and they make sure you feel like part of the family by the end of the day. The cherry on top was pictures and video from different stages of the ride that the staff downloaded right to my phone at the end free of charge. BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT!

Rafting fun for the whole family - Noah was a knowledgeable, skilled and personable guide. The rafting trip was fun and family friendly. I live locally and would take friends here again when they come to town.

Upper San Miguel AM Half Day Rafting Experience - We loved the morning Upper San Miguel rafting trip even more than the lower half, and that says a lot since we thoroughly enjoyed the lower half afternoon experience. The rapids were so fun, and the scenery was breathtaking. Our guide, Rio, made sure we were safe and felt comfortable. He was encouraging and made the trip so enjoyable from start to finish. His patience and care for each person in the boat was noticeable immediately. We cannot recommend this trip and this company more highly. They are so thorough and make the experience a blast!

Fun rafting trip on the San Miguel - The Mild to Wild Rafting company was so dialed in. We had a great experience. We knew the waternlevel was low when we went but Noah was such a great guide and was able to navigate the river so well. We had a great time.

Fun! - My wife and kids had never been rafting before. The half day tour was a perfect intro. The rapids are fun and just a tad challenging, so my 11 year old had no issues. The scenery is incredible and the guides made the experience safe and fun. Special thanks to Josh for a safe, fun and memorable experience.

Cooling - Had alot of fun. Our guide John was very informative about river facts and fiction! High evergy, all staff were friendly. Ride to entrance was aprox 25 min. Everyone stayed in raft.

Amazing family trip! - What an amazing time for the whole family! We did the full day trip and the whole family agreed the second part was even more fun than the first part. Our guide Rio was amazing ! He was extremely knowledgeable and made it so much fun for the kids!! Definitely a must do!

Amazing Rafting on the San Miguel - Had a perfect river rafting experience with Mild to Wild river outfitters.
We had been with this outfit before out of Durango but were happy to go out of Telluride this trip.
We had an unbelievable guide appropriately named “Rio”. Great guide who was able to get us into all the JUICY rapids. He also had a great knowledge of the area, wildlife and vegetation.
We would recommend anyone looking for an amazing rafting experience to use Mild to Wild. Do yourself a favor and request Rio.

Exciting San Miguel rafting trip - We had a great time on our half day San Miguel river rafting trip with Mild to Wild. The water was high and the rapids were fast which made for an exciting experience. Our guide Alyssa was both friendly and competent . Wet suits and splash shells offered by the company were much appreciated! Our family of 4 had a great time and I would highly recommend Mild to Wild.
