Save time during your vacation and complete the theory and exam online at your own pace prior to arrival. As soon as you have purchased the PADI Open Water Diver course and provided the following details, we will register you with PADI for e-learning, so you can dive right in. This will save you at least 1-1.5 days. The practical part can be completed within 2.5-3 days.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge development to understand the basics of scuba diving
- Confined water/ pool dives to learn basic scuba skills
- Open water dives to use your skills and explore

Great experience with a fantastic team - We did our Open Water Diver PADi certification and the team were great. They helped us to go at our own pace, plan our sessions around other experiences and most importantly, to enjoy the diving experience. Our instructor Dany was the BEST! He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient with us, but also helped us to challenge ourselves. Thank you for helping us to obtain our certification and to experience the reef here.

The best instructor ever! - It has been one of my goals in the past four years since 2020 to get certified; one or another, I had to postpone it. But after all, this was the right time for me and definitely the right person. My instructor is Lot, the most experienced diver and patient teacher. He helped me to overcome my fears and gain self-control. When I felt panicked, I remembered what I was taught, rationalized the possible solutions, and was able to relax. Despite his great experience and hundreds of students, Lot is humble; he applauded and recognized every little success throughout the program. On my last certification dive, when we got on board after it was finished, he said, "Attention, everyone!" and announced that a new diver had been born; it was really touching. I trusted him to guide me into this new, fantastic underwater community, and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you so much, Lot Miranda and ScubaCaribe, for making my dream come true!

Sensational experience - if you have the opportunity, you should definitely do it 🤗 - I did the Advanced Open Water diver and had a great time. I was able to see many different spots and animals in 5 dives (rays, turtles, bull sharks...).
With 2 half days and 1 full day, the time required was very manageable.
I was able to dive with Dany as my diving instructor and he did a really great job. Relaxed and yet I felt safe at all times.
Thank you Dany and Scuba Caribe for the great time and memories 🤙

Unforgettable Playa diving experience! - I did about 10 divings with Scuba Caribe during my 1 week vacation in Riu, including the diving with bull sharks and Cozumel diving, and my son (13yo) did PADI Open Water certification - both had amazing experience and all instructors were awesome! Cozumel was a little bit tricky due to waves and seasick we got, but views there are very impressive, including some sharks and turtles we saw. Don’t forget to take Dramamine, if you are sensitive.
The management was also very flexible and few things were moved or arranged specially for us. The price is also reasonable.

Excellent Experience - Had a great time with Scuba Caribe. Waters conditions were not ideal due to a tropical system that had passed through the day before but there was an abundance of sea life during my two dives. We also were fortunate to see a bull shark on one of the dives. Danny and Jorge did a fantastic job as dive leaders and would recommend this place to anyone thinking about going on a dive in the Playa Del Carmen area.

Scuba Diving - The best place to certificated. Pierre and Billy were my instructors and I couldn’t have had better instructors. Learned so much from Pierre and Billy. Had a fabulous time and can’t wait to do it again. Can’t wait to go back. Go go go and you won’t regret it.

Open water referral Riu Yucatan Playacar - The whole team were really friendly and helpful but especially Stephanie who we did our open water dives with she was absolutely brilliant. Friendly, informative with great attention to detail. My partner had an issue on day two which she took extra time in the pool to help him with. We felt really well trained but it was also fun and made our holiday. Thank you so much to everyone at scuba caribe riu yucatan playacar.

Best experience - I did my certification for open water diver, Mathilde and Stefanie are the best instructors ever, very kind very professional, i saw rays, murrays, a nurse shark and many more fishes...i will come back
