- Pacchen - We convene in the heart of Playa del Carmen and embark on an hour’s journey to the Pacchen Mayan Community. Our adventure begins with a serene kayak excursion on a secluded lagoon, followed by an exhilarating zipline ride across the water. We then trek to a second zipline that soars over a vast cenote, traverse a timber bridge, and ultimately discover a concealed cenote. Here, we engage in a thrilling rappel descent into the cenote’s waters, swim, and ascend via vertical ladders.\n\nPost-adventure, we dry off and proceed to another Mayan village. A shaman greets us with a purifying Mayan Ceremony, bestowing blessings from Mother Nature upon us. Subsequently, you’ll partake in crafting handmade tortillas within a traditional Mayan kitchen, where a local chef will guide you through the ingredients used in the culinary delights you’ll savor later.\n\nThe highlight of the experience is the unveiling of the “cochinita pibil” (earth-cooked pork), which we unearth and savor as part of a sumptuous three-course feast featuring regional sauces, tacos, pork, black beans, rice, and a delectable sweet flan, all complemented by the aromatic “café de olla” coffee.\n\nThe experience is so enchanting, you’ll find it hard to say goodbye.
