Very fun experience with Sussy and Maritzio - Really enjoyed the trip a lot!! Lots of knowledge passed for Tulum region and Susanna did a great job explaining the ancient ruins as well as the history behind it. Very friendly tour guides. Both of the cenotes, Mariposa and Chen He were very beautiful and nice to swim in. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the trip :)

Recommended!!! - This was such a great tour! I had a lot of fun and got to see a lot- it definitely was about 8 hours from pick up to drop off but it was a great experience and good value for your buck. I would recommend this to family/friends the cenotes were beautiful and the guides were entertaining- you also get time to stroll and take tour own photos.

Half day tour Tulum and Cenote - Yesterday we enjoyed this tour to the ruins of Tulum and swam in two cenotes, as our 5-year-old daughter was going, we wanted a half-day tour, it was perfect, the guides' explanations were super clear, friendly and very enthusiastic. Very good relation cost quality. Thank you Álvaro, Ivonne and José.

Unbeatable! - 100% Recommended by Alvaro (guide) and Angel (driver). Endearing Alvarito and an open book. We greatly appreciate the opportunity he gave us to meet D. Miguel (Chaman). We would take the tour with them again!

Tulum Mayan Ruins & cenote quick experiences - As we were close to Tulum our pick up was about 9 am; then quick ride to Tulum & ruins. Bus was large one, with about 40 people on board. Our guide Christian spoke Espanola and English fluently, going back and forth at speed so we could all mostly) understand. We had about 2 1/2 hrs at ruins; with Christian guiding us through some of the highlights and pointing out where to get best vantage point for views and photos. Two hours was enough—saw the various structures, viewpoints and gave us a bit of free time to wander the site. Also note there is a area before ruins featuring stores, eateries (including Starbucks, Subway) and bar, plus folks posing with various animals for photos (including massive boa!) Then quite a road into the cenotes. There are change rooms and bathrooms and lockers, plus cafe and bar at start, along with art & handicrafts. We had ample time to swim in both the centoes (suggestion being go to walk the 5 mins to further one first then back to larger one, that way you don’t have to walk so far to change rooms at end.) Then we were back at resort by 3pm. It was a perfect intro tour and experience, without having to spend long day on the road. I would recommend it. Note if a person has mobility issues this probably not the most ideal excursion as fair bit of walking over uneven surfaces.

Good tour guide, disorganized company - Our experience was mixed. First the good- -Miguel was lovely. Really nice guy, funny, and knowledgeable. No complaints about him at all. -The locations were beautiful and overall, I had a good time. However, there were some definite issues. -The van was extremely uncomfortable. We were packed in like sardines with less leg room than an economy flight. We spent over two hours in the van, so this was not a small thing. -There was a dedicated driver who didn’t do the tour with us, but he didn’t think to start it at the end, so it was extremely hot when we got in. -There was a lot of confusion at pick up, resulting in us waiting for an extra 30 minutes or so before we could get going. -Early on, two of our group members didn’t meet at the starting point. Miguel had given us 5 minutes to grab a drink and go to the bathroom. They didn’t return to start the tour. I don’t know what company policy is but Miguel spent about half an hour on the phone with them trying to figure out what to do. This half hour ended up screwing over the rest of the group. Miguel assured us that we’d get our full two hour time in Tulum. That was a lie. We were supposed to get a one hour tour of the ruins and an hour of free time to explore Tulum- grab lunch, shop, etc. We ended up with just 23 minutes of free time. In a place where there are lines for everything, it wasn’t nearly enough time. So no lunch for us. We were lucky to get a water, a scoop of gelato, and go to the bathroom. -Despite getting screwed out of 37 minutes of free time in Tulum, the tour still ran late. It’s advertised as a half day tour. Many of the others run 12 hours, which my spouse and I found too long. We specifically chose this one because it was supposed to be half a day. Despite this, we weren’t dropped off until after 5 pm. We were all ready to leave when Miguel spontaneously declared that he was going to give a presentation on Mayan chocolate making. That was an extra 20 minutes. Then they messed up the drop off, going to an extra hotel that nobody was staying at and adding more time. In the morning, despite the mixup with the vans, we all met at a central location. The evening drop off was a meandering event going to 4 or 5 locations. Ultimately Miguel was wonderful but I don’t think I’d recommend Ekinox as a company unless they made some major changes, including their policy when guests don’t show up at a meeting point. Paying customers shouldn’t get screwed out of time in a location just because of other people’s negligence. -

Unsatisfactory Experience: Lack of Communication and Failed Service Delivery - Our experience with the company handling the hotel pick-up through Viator was deeply disappointing and frustrating. The lack of respect for our time and failure in keeping us informed throughout the process was evident. Communication was abysmal, to say the least, and we were shocked to discover that they had even deleted Whatsapp messages acknowledging their responsibility for the issue at hand. Despite our anticipation for an exciting tour, it never came to fruition. To make matters worse, there was no indication of a refund for the service that was never provided. Viator's silence on the matter, and their failure to provide a satisfactory explanation for withholding our refund, only added to our dismay. We felt let down by the tour operator's mishandling of the situation and Viator's apparent lack of accountability. The lack of transparency and resolution in this matter has left a sour taste in our mouths, tarnishing what was supposed to be a memorable experience. It is regrettable that a company of Viator's stature failed to address this issue promptly and efficiently. We hope that our feedback serves as a reminder of the importance of transparency, clear communication, and accountability in customer service, especially in the realm of travel and leisure.

In reverse x highway - Changing vehicles in the middle of the road, reversing on the highway, breaking traffic regulations and high risk of accidents

Bad experience in Tulum with EKINOX - They offered and sold us a VAN excursion = It was by Bus They summoned us at 8:10 AM = They arrived at 8:40 AM without notice They stopped on the highway in a dangerous way, a place not allowed, with several signs not to park or stop. They drove in reverse/reverse on the HIGHWAY, which means a traffic violation (now the second one), more risk of accident for the passengers. All this before arriving in TULUM. In Tolum the guide made a presentation and tiny reference, with little to no explanation. BAD EXPERIENCE
