Whether you are an intermediate, advanced or beginner surfer, this is the perfect place for catching some world-class waves! The lesson will start with a 10-minute surf theory and safety instruction and the remaining time will be in the water.

Playa Grande has one of the best beach breaks in the country, so there will be waves for every level of surfer! Our local instructors know everything about this beach and will help you catch some amazing waves, gain confidence in the water, or polish your technique.

Additional Information

This is an incredible experience of horseback riding through Playa Minas/Puerto Viejo and surrounding beaches and mountains. This experience has the unique combination of having a snorkel experience together with the thrill of galloping with our beautiful and healthy horses through the paths, beaches, and Costa Rican dirt roads.

You can’t get any closer to nature while you meet your wild side horseback riding through the jungle. Monkeys, birds, snakes and marine life are just some of the animal species you might see!

What to Bring
Sunblock, bug spray, swimsuit, comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes that can get wet, fresh clean clothes for the ride back and a towel.

This company made our trip! - Ariel and his team of surf instructors were absolutely amazing. Their teaching styles matched everyone's level (which ranged from first-timer to intermediate) with expert care and fun. Highly recommend this team for all your Tamarindo visit's needs!!!!

Best Trip Ever - Best concierge company ever! We had a large group of girls come to Playa Grande and needed help with airport transportation, surfing, private sailing tour, massages, groceries and local information. Ariel and his team were by far the best staff I've ever worked with after many years of traveling. They are so responsive and kind and made everything SO easy for us. From someone who works in the hospitality industry I could not be more impressed by Ariel and Playa Grande Shuttles & Tours. We will definitely be back and will use them again!

Large group, all inclusive - HIGHLY recommend this company. Ariel can organize a complete itinerary for you. We had 16 girls and everything went super smooth. He organized everything: airport transfers, groceries, surf lessons, and boat tour. All his guides were all so fun (Erikson, Jorge, Brian, Victor, Ariel and more!) Everyone had an absolute blast. We loved every minute. Costa Rica is amazing....Pura Vida!

best surf trip - Ariel and the crew (Jorje!!!) were amazing! they helped us all catch some waves and gave great instruction i was catching (some) waves by myself at the end! Ariel also took care of our travel plans and other activities, and was a pleasure to work with all around!
