Pokhara - We pick you up after breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara and take a taxi to Phedi (1,130 m). It takes around 30 minutes to reach Phedi. From Phedi, we walk about 5 hours with a short lunch break and reach our destination in Deurali (2,100 m) in the late afternoon. On the way to Deurali, we are passing typical Nepali villages and beautiful terraced rice fields. In the last part of today’s trek, we walk through a tropical forest with many little waterfalls and creeks. We have dinner at a charming lodge and stay there overnight. After completing 4 hour trek travelers will take rest and prepare for next day.

The Mardi Himal trek transports you away from the common tea house paths and immerses you in stunning forests and local villages. After your village exploration concludes, you will advance into the jungle, where a multitude of orchids and non-timber forest products await. Witness a spectrum of wildlife amid the lush rhododendron forest that carpets your path. Your journey extends to the brown pastures, viewed from the hilltop ridge, offering visuals of several other trekking routes like the Annapurna sanctuary, Ghandruk loop, Annapurna panorama, Machhapuchhare Taan model trek, and Tara hilltop trek among others. Highlights from this viewpoint include Sarangkot, Pokhara valley and seven districts of western Nepal. From this proximal viewpoint, you can relish the uninterrupted view of Annapurna range (Annapurna I-IV, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Tent Peak, Gandarwa Chuli, Singu Chuli, Holymount Fishtail, Mardi Himal, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu & Dhawalagiri) in a serene and less crowded environment. The local populations mostly consist of Brahmin, Gurung, Chhetri, Tamang and blacksmith caste inhabitants.
