Thian Fah Foundation is located on Yaowarat Road, a little past Odeon Circle, opposite Wat Traimit Witthayaram Worawihan Temple. This is a place of worship and prayer that is highly respected by Thai-Chinese and Chinese people because it is the place where the Goddess of Mercy is enshrined. The Goddess of Mercy is made of fragrant sandalwood carved in the style of Tang Dynasty art, but it is believed that it was built during the Song Dynasty, about 800-900 years ago.

  • The Chinatown Gate - Originally, this area used to be a fountain roundabout or “Odeon Circle”, which was named after the nearby Odeon Cinema. Later, the area was renovated and a Thai-Chinese cultural archway was built. Chinese-Thai people and various government agencies jointly built it to offer merit on the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 60th birthday anniversary in 1999. This archway is the intersection of Charoen Krung Road, Yaowarat Road, and Thai-Chinese Friendship Road. It is a symbol of Yaowarat and is considered the gateway to Yaowarat.

  • Wat Traimit Withayaram Worawihan - Wat Traimit in Bangkok houses the world’s largest solid gold Buddha statue, gleaming with timeless beauty. Everything a foodie wants in Bangkok's Chinatown - I was the only member of the tour (low season) and had a fantastic time! All of the food was delicious and the detail provided by my guide (Sophia) of both the food and the area was exceptional. It's hard to pick specific highlights as the entire evening was wonderful but, due to my insistence, it was really nice to be trusted with some proper 'Thai' spicy food instead of the milder 'farang' alternatives! For all the right reasons I will never forget the local and legitimate Larb, Som Tam, and roasted green Thai chilies served with sticky rice and eaten by hand... and maybe some whiskey to help wash it all down. A true delight of an evening which I will immediately book again the next time I'm lucky enough to travel to Bangkok.

Amazing Food Tours! - We hit up all these dope little street stalls and hole-in-the-wall joints that you'd never find on your own. Our guide, Khun Kay, was the real MVP though – dude knew all the best spots and hooked us up with the tastiest grub. Man, the flavors on this tour were insane! We got to try everything from fiery southern Satay that had my taste buds doing backflips to tangy northeastern dish that were so fresh and zingy. And don't even get me started on the Thai-Chinese dishes – those dim sum and Thai desserts were out of this world!

5 star food tour experience - Absolutely first class tour and Kay was brilliant both with his knowledge of the food and culture of Thailand. Took us to 6 gems of local restaurants a few of which I would definitely never have found in the maze of the small streets and alleys. Would definitely recommend but make sure you’re hungry as you get loads of food!!!
