You’ll spend your morning here, before progressing to the scenic…
Embark on a thrilling trip where the highlights of Sorrento, Positano, and either the remains of Pompeii or Herculaneum await you. Your personal driver will welcome you at the Naples Port and guide you to the historic Pompeii archaeological site still marred by the 79AD volcanic disaster. You’ll spend your morning here, before progressing to the scenic seaside town of Sorrento to explore and eat. The journey unfolds along the pristine Amalfi coast, leading you to Positano’s serpentine lanes and coastal cafes. This marks the end of the day, post which you will return to Naples Port.
If Pompeii is already crossed off your list, you can instead visit Herculaneum. Though less known and smaller, this site is rich in archaic discoveries, boasting elegant mosaics, old adverts and impeccably conserved residences.

Tour from Napoli - We took a Mediterranean cruise in early November as couples. Not wanting to be a part of a large tour group, we hired RomeIn Limo to do a private tour for the four of us. We had previously used RomeIn Limo when we visited Rome and were so happy with their services, we hired them again for several city stops. In Naples we were picked up at the cruise terminal by Tony. He had our names on a piece of paper and was easy to spot. He led us to a black Mercedes van in the parking lot. The van was clean and Tony gave us each a cold bottle of water.
As we drove to the Pompeii we had very pleasant conversations about Italy, a little history, a little art and a lot of culture. At Pompeii we met up with our guide, who was extremely knowledgeable. There are a number of ways to tour the city of Pompeii. It is very large, so if you want to see the whole thing, it will take longer than one day. We had a half day tour and saw the houses and baths around the Forum. Wearing comfortable and sturdy shoes is a must!
After our tour, we met with our guide Tony who drove us along the beautiful coast to Sorrento. Here we stopped at a local restaurant for an authentic Italian meal. Afterwards, we wondered around the shops and streets of the city. There are lots of beautiful things to see and buy. I would recommend the lemon gelato and the lemon candies, they are a delicious treat!
Our last stop of the day was at an olive oil factory and saw how the olives are pressed for oil. We were able to taste and purchase the flavored olive oils and vinegars. This was a real treat.
We were so satisfied with Tony and RomeIn Limo, we were certainly use them again.

Great tour - Spent the day touring with Daniel our driver/tour guide. Stopped by an olive farm, sampled many olive oils, drove along the coast, saw part of the Pompei area.

Italy 2024 - our tour was just awesome, I cannot say enough of the private tour we had. the whole day was a great adventure. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had all the tips and facts !!

Awesome day trip! - OUr experience was the BEST! Our driver was awesome and explained everything along the way to the different stops. I would recommend Rome In Limo to everyone who is touring in Italy.

Spectacular day trip from Naples Port - Perfect experience! Daniel, our driver, was waiting for us right off the boat holding a sign with my name. Was very easy to find. Due to our ship having an early afternoon boarding time, we were limited in what we were able to do. However Daniel suggested we just do Sorrento and Pompeii, and thank God he did. We ended up having about 2 hours in each place. While way too short for a full experience, we still got to enjoy some shopping and pizza in Sorrento before having a couple hours to explore Pompeii. Daniel was full of great advice and local insight, having been born and raised in Italy. If we ever make it back to Italy, Daniel will be our first contact :)

Best tour ever. Highly recommend. - This is the fourth tour we have taken with Rome in Limo. Daniel was our driver and very knowledge on the places we were going. He was so friendly and engaging. He added so much to our excursion and suggested things and places to go. We wanted a local restaurant and Daniel took us to the best . It was a place that makes and sells olive oils, vinegars and other items. But the best part was the upstairs restaurant overlooking Mt. Vesuvius. Mario was the wine expert and as we enjoyed the wonderful food , Mario brought out different wines that went with the selection of dishes served. Then we went to Pompeii where Daniel set up a tour guide (highly recommended) for us. The whole tour was amazing but the help that Daniel added made it the best it could be. Thank you Daniel.

Fantastic day in Sorrento - We were on a cruise that went to port in Sorrento. We wanted a special day in and around Pompei. This is a deluxe tour company suggested by a friend. The communication in advance of the tour is very professional. We had a great tour of Pompeii by Francesco who brought the ruins alive. We had a fabulous lunch at our tour guide’s recommendation. Our tour guide and host for the day, Daniel, was super fantastic and a perfect host. A number 1! We can’t thank him enough for a perfect experience he arranged for us and helped us to enjoy.

Perfect three days of excursions with RomeinLimo - Fantastic experience. We did the three port package for cruise ship passengers which covered Florence, Rome and Naples. Being picked up at the cruise ports and taken directly to the attractions was a perfect way to spend our days. Our drivers in Rome and Naples were wonderful, with Naples being our favorite day of the trip. We saw Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii and it was perfect! If you are doing Pompeii, make sure to get the private guide. Worth every single penny and it made us enjoy our time more than we thought we would. I can’t say enough great things about Jany. Professional, courteous and very helpful. We were recommended to use Lucia in Rome for all of our tickets (Vatican, Pantheon and Colosseum) and Lucia was amazing as well. Do not hesitate to use RomeinLimo!
