Fantastic private tour of Pompeii - What a fascinating place Pompeii is to visit and made even better by having our personal guide Luciana. We were guided from entry with the best route to avoid most of the crowds; Luciana was very patient, allowing us time to photograph and answering all of our questions. We were given a great insight into life in Pompeii and how it all ended in tragedy for many following Vesuvius’ eruption. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Fascinating and Enjoyable - This was a fantastic experience! We were travelling as an extended family of 8, some of whom had been to Pompei before (including me). Luisa, our guide, met us with a sign with our name, making for an easy entrance into the site. She really was able to provide a comprehensive tour while at the same time avoiding the crowds. She also took several photos of our group, making or some of the few photos of all of us during our trip. I had been to Pompei before and to be honest, really didn't want to go back. My memory was of crowds and heat and very little of interest. Luisa changed all of that for me!

Enlightening & Entertaining! - Our family of five enjoyed a wonderful 2 hours with Eliana (we should have booked 3 hours). This type of sightseeing and learning isn't typically at the top of the 'must do' list for all members of our family. However, Eliana's knowledge, passion and humor kept all of us engaged and she encouraged our many questions. She has the ability to tailor her tours based on what you're mostly interested in. And if you don't quite know, no problem. She's a 3rd generation archaeologist with intimate knowledge of Pompeii having dug the site for decades. We took a number of tours around Italy over our two weeks' holiday, and this was definitely our favorite! Thank you, Eliana for such a fun and memorable experience!

Simply the best Tour of Pompeii EVER! - Luisa was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. It was myself my brother and his husband and we are all extremely interested in finding out as much as we could as so different in reality to watching documentaries. Luisa did not disappoint. I also mentioned at the beginning that I was have problems walking and Luisa was so very accommodating putting her hand out for support to aid me. I couldn’t recommend your tour and specifically Luisa highly enough. Worth every penny.

Amazing guide for Pompeii private family tour. - We had a fantastic tour of Pompeii with Viktoria who led us around some of the bests parts of the ruins. Her knowledge was vast and she was able to answer all our questions about the history of the area. A fascinating and highly informative tour. Thanks Viktoria !

Middling quality tour guide - Our tour guide, Eliana, may be a trained archeologist, but she was not a very helpful guide. She was patronizing and not very informative. She referred to one of Pompei's shopping streets as "Rodeo Drive" and the nonsense continued in that vein. Plus she bragged about her academic credentials and how they were so good that she was assigned to Pompei. Well, that doesn't matter if you can't explain things to a well informed audience. I strongly recommend that she begin each tour by asking about the guests' backgrounds and interests.
