A great tour! - Eliana was amazing! Pompeii was a dream a long-time coming and I felt so fortunate that we entrusted it to Eliana. She was incredibly knowledgable, knew her way all around Pompeii (which is huge and confusing if you are new to it), and taught us so much during the tour. I highly recommend hiring her for your visit to Pompeii.

Lots of great info; Carmen knew her trade! - There's a lot to see in Pompeii, so having a tour guide seems fairly essential. Having Carmen as your guide is just an added bonus. Carmen was knowledgeable, friendly, easy to understand and able to craft her talks to the interest of everyone present (for example, she told the kids that the bread ovens in Pompeii were for pizza, but confided to the adults that they didn't actually make pizza in Pompeii, since that particular dish was invented nearly two thousand years later). We got to visit the "new excavation" site just 2 days after it officially opened to the public (although the famous "black room" was covered by tarps), and it was the first time Carmen was able to see it, too, so she was as excited as we were.

She provided detail and tailored our experience to what was our interest and checked to be sure the topics were appropriate to discuss. I wish she would give us a tour everywhere as she is an extremely knowledgeable archeologist with a familial history in Pompeii!

Great Tour - No Better Way to See Pompeii - We had an excellent tour of the ruins with Carmen. She’s extremely knowledgeable and also a very nice person. She knew the history and was able to answer all the questions we asked from our group of four. A private guide is really the only way to see this marvelous site and you’ll be fortunate if Carmen is your guide. Ciao!

3 generations of women archeologists! - My husband and I had a fabulous tour with Eliana. She is not only expert in Pompeii, she is passionate about the city, it's history and culture. She is the 3rd in her family of women archeologists who have worked the site - her mother and grandmother. She gave us an excellent overview of the city and answered all our questions with many additional details about the Pompeiian legal and business systems.I highly recommend the experience!!

Wonderful tour of Pompeii - The guide was very knowledgeable, just moved really slow. Enjoyed all the information given to us, just wished guide would have moved faster so we could have seen more.
