Perfect way to see Pompeii - Driver was excellent , Tony was a wealth of knowledge about the area of Sorrento and all the cities around Pompeii and Herculaneum. We had two very excellent guides for Herculaneum and Pompeii, one was an archeologist. Just excellent day!

Thoroughly informative and enjoyable day - Both of our guides Franco (Herulaneum) & Josy (Pompeii) were incredibly knowledgeable about each area and delivered information about the towns, the people that would have lived there, the way of life and the eruption itself clearly and with visible passion for the subject. The day was very informative and thoroughly enjoyable. We also were able to add on a visit to the crater at Vesuvius for an additional fee, which was well worth the amazing views from the top!

History with ambience - Our guides Roberta and Vincenzo were wonderful. We learned a lot and had fun. Beautiful places and we had enough time to see the best parts thanks to guides.

Breath taking adventure. - Wow, what an amazing excursion. Pompeii was huge, over 17 acres, 2 hours barely made a dent in seeing this archaeological treasure. Herculaneum was much smaller and easier to get around, again just amazing. Strongly recommend this trip for visitors.

Archeological Tour de Force - Vincenzo was our driver for the day. He was great. Vincenzo suggested a winery on the mountain to end the day rather add on a hike to the cráter’s edge. It was already 97F - so his liquid refreshment idea sounded real good :-). It seemed like we were a stone’s throw from the crater at the winery (Cantina del Vesuvius) so we got the best solution. Vincenzo arranged the wine tasting and lunch. Very cool logo for the property - involving the mountain as you’d expect:-). We also had a private guide for the 2 sites and very much worth it to cut through the crowds, see the highlights and vamoose! Thank so much Vincenzo!

Outstanding Trip to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Olive Oil Factory and Pizza School! - Wonderful trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum plus an additional last minute stop at an olive oil factory and pizza school!!! Antonio is a great driver and guide who was quick to suggest terrific additions to our day! Wear your sneakers to discover so much in Pompeii and Herculaneum! We had private guides there who were very knowledgeable. Pizza school was a last minute bonus that was so much fun. Highly recommend this tour!!

Exceptional Day - Our driver, Attilio, was exceptional in every way. He was personable and professional. We would definitely request him again. The giddied tour with Franco was wonderful too. There were only two of us on our private tour and we learned more than we could have ever if done without a guide. All around well worth the time and money. Thank you.

Highlight of our trip - a must do! - Booking this private tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy from the US. Our guide, Franco, was fantastic. He made sure we saw the most important parts of both sites based on the time allowed and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver, Umberto, was equally friendly and was a pleasure to talk to as we chatted about Italian culture amongst other things. We had booked the tour late the night before and the tour operator contacted us quickly to confirm our booking and the pickup time for the next morning. Very professional. The price isn’t a lot compared to the in depth view into such a historical event.

A truly memorable two days in Naples - I had only two days in Naples and several specific places I wanted to visit, and my outstanding driver, Antoino, made it all happen. Ask for him specifically, and you’ll be glad you did. He is consistently pleasant and professional, and a great driver in some quite high-stress traffic. My goal was a deep-dive into the towns and people of Herculaneum and Pompeii. I spent the first afternoon in the Naples National Archaeological Museum, viewing the treasures and decorative arts excavated from both cities. Day Two was spent exploring the sites with a wonderful guide, Lucia. It was a great introduction to Naples, and Antoine made sure I was able to maximize my time there by getting me where I wanted to be on time.

History brought to life - What an amazing day we had with Antonio, our driver, and Lucia, our guide. Antonio picked us up promptly at our villa. He was very professional and attentive to our party of 8. We are ending a 36 day European tour and have had some great tour guides along the way, but Lucia may have topped them all. She was so friendly; got to know the members of our party by name and her knowledge of Pompeii and Herculaneum unsurpassed. She brought those civilizations back to life for us. If you have an option to request her as your guide, you will not be disappointed. The only negative to the day is that Pompeii is so massive one couldn't possibly see it all. Calls for another trip!
