Bumpy start but very good overall - My wife & four year old boy showed up to take a tour. We were told to come back at 3:45pm for an English version. We returned & were told the English group started at 3:30pm. There was then a confusing & frustrating set of conflicting instructions from two different people to rush in to catch the previous group then to come back out & wait then go back in .... grrrr The tour was EXCELLENT. Great visuals. Interesting narration. And a series of rooms focused on the area, growing different apple types, harvesting, the double distillation method, the choice of wood for barrels to impart color & nuanced flavor ... at the end there's a tasting of three different calvados One of the ladies who had been giving the conflicting instructions at the start spoke with us and apologized and provided some Normandie cheese along with the calvados. A nice gesture. Highly recommended. And not just for adults. It kept the attention of our 4 yr old very well.

To recommend - The visit is super interesting. The places are very well appointed and the comments very complete. At the end of the visit the young woman who offers the tasting is very friendly and the product is very good. I preferred the calvados-based aperitif, which was less strong.

Much better than expected - Much better than expected. The visit is organized through a succession of very well made and contextualized audiovisuals to end in the shop where the tasting takes place and it is possible to purchase the excellent products.

Immersive interactive calvados tour. - An immersive interactive tour that lasts 45 mins. You go through a series of rooms that bring the history of Pere Magloire calvados to life. Finished with a tasting session and talk about the different varieties of calvados and liqueurs plus a taste of a fabulous apple juice led by Steve who did a cracking job. Better than we expected. Completed tour with a trip to the shop.

I recommend it to you - Very nice and very informative, even if it must be slightly fictionalized. However, the visit is easy and the time does not seem to pass. The tasting session was a pleasant addition to the visit, allowing us to even taste high quality bottles. The prices are indeed high, but I think that is understandable given the very good quality of the visit. (and especially due to the fact that they must not be able to make less margin on the products because they must not be able to buy as many as stores.)
