One of the best days ever… - We did private tour with Hugo for the best day ever!! It felt like we were touring the island with a friend who wanted us to experience everything we could about this beautiful island. We told him we had a Jeep and had several land rovers over the years so he knew we loved off roads. He took us to places we’d have never done in our own in our rental. He explained history and shared so much knowledge with us. We had an amazing lunch, enjoyed some poncho and got pictures at the most speculator sites. Seriously, the best tour we have ever done!!

Amazing day exploring Madeira - This tour was amazing. We had a fabulous time visiting the island and Fabio was fun, knowledgeable and entertaining! I Highly recommend it!

Amazing jeep ride - Amazing ride in a jeep with some offroad riding ! Hugo was an excellent driver and guide we could not have a better one! We have seen some breath taking views and got to know a little history of Madeira

We did two tours and they were both fantastic. - Tour 1. Sunrise tour with Fernando. It was an incredibly early start and well worth it. It was a packed jeep for this tour, so being the giraffe of the group, sitting at the far back was an experience! Fernando wasted no time racing up the mountain to beat the crowds and give us the best chance of the best views. We were blessed with an incredible sunrise. Fernando was great fun, very chatty, and had a whole wealth of knowledge. We learnt so much from the short tour. At the end of the levada walk, we met back at a great little cafe/restaurant. The food there was fantastic. The 4 x 4 West Tour Full Day This tour we had the awesome Fabio, and what was more incredible was the fact that it was just my wife and I on the tour. A private tour at our leisure. We didn't expect that, but wow, it was amazing and gave us the chance to ask questions and learn stuff we might not have been able to in a group. Fabio took us on the tour in a way that isn't normally done to avoid the crowds, and it worked, we avoided them throughout the whole day. His knowledge is outstanding and gave us so many tips and tricks to navigate the day, but also to navigate Maderia in the future. He left us to do our own things and was always nearby if we needed him. We managed to fit so much in and see some incredible sights. The only blip on the tour is the place for food. We don't recommend it, and throughout our whole trip to Maderia, it was the worst place we ate at. But other than that, we couldn't fault Hit the road Maderia. Two awesome tours with two fantastic guides. We will be back next year!

Great Tour Package - We did this tour with Victor - we really appreciate the fact that the tour size is minimal , there were 4 people. Victor was very knowledgeable and patient - we did the 25 fountains, there were several interesting stops with lookouts we enjoyed on the way. The pace was perfect and we started early thereby avoiding the crowds. There was adequate time at each fountain for pictures and to take in the moment. Victor is an awesome tour guide and cares so much for everyone’s comfort and safety- I cannot recommend Hit the Road enough and Victor in particular. We also did the peak to peak walk with Victor similarly early morning to avoid the crowds - unforgettable experience. We were extremely grateful that Victor agreed to take us on this tour at short notice and it was only me and my husband in the group. We were picked up at 530 am and got there on time to see the sunrise. I was struggling in the last parts and told Vic and hubby to go ahead but Vic would not go on without me and stopped every time for me to recover. I really appreciate his kindness.

Simply the best on the island! - A post card around each corner with views never to forget. Nunos knowledge of the island was evident and he was a pleasure to have as a guide.

Great tour well worth the money. - It is the driver that makes these tours and Nuno our driver was exceptional. He was funny and informative passing knowledge of the island and its history and taking us to some really special locations.

Hair Raising but Cramped 4x4 Trip - Exciting, indeed sometimes hair raising trip but very uncomfortable as 6 x adults is two too many people in that 4x4 vehicle when you add in backpacks, bags etc. IMO, 4 adults is the optimum maximum number. Sorry, but it was also a poor choice of restaurant for lunch, great view but rather expensive with no atmosphere. On a positive note, our driver, Tiago was very communicative, knowledgeable and fun to be with.
