Excellent experience with Back Country Bliss Adventures - Today we spent the day with Will from Back Country Bliss Adventures, and had a wonderful day river drafting and walking through Mossman Gorge. River Drafting was like nothing we’d done before and is an amazing way to see the Daintree (we were also accompanied by Renee for this part of the day, and she provided excellent guidance as we headed down the river). Will’s knowledge and connection to the region was evident and we learnt so much during our day with him. We rounded the day off with a swim in a secluded and beautiful billabong - would highly recommend this day out.

Unique way to see the Daintree, floating in style - Loved this tour! Best part was floating down the river. Also enjoyed the COLD plunge by Mossman Gorge. Lunch was tasty. Guides were fantastic and made the experience truly enjoyable. Learned a lot about the Daintree, but mostly had a wonderful day outdoors.

Just an awesome day in Mossman Gorge - This was just an awesome full-day adventure. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids (12, 10)) all enjoyed this from start to finish! The day started with an early pickup from our hotel in Port Douglas. Picked up a few other guests on the way to the river for the rafting/river drift part - I think we were 10 in all. You only need your swimmers for the river drift - they provide wetsuits and neoprene boots (the water is cold). We did a short walk up the river with our awesome guides (Artemis and Scotty) while learning about the rainforest, then embarked on our float down the river - peaceful, serene, like we were on a different planet! We didn’t need anything on the river - the guides took plenty of photos that we were able to retrieve later digitally. After the river drift, we went to a delicious local restaurant for lunch, then headed to Mossman Gorge Cultural Center for the afternoon rainforest walk. The walk was beautiful, and Artemis enriched the experience so much with her knowledge of the rainforest and its significance for local indigenous people. We got another chance to swim as well (the kids loved this part) before heading back to Port Douglas. Overall just a fantastic day - beautiful, educational, and super fun! Would recommend this to anyone visiting tropical North Queensland - you will not be disappointed!

So much fun and an amazing experience - This tour had been on my bucket list for a few years and I am so blessed to be able to now tick it off. What an amazing experience my 5 girlfriends had celebrating our upcoming 60th birthdays. It was a combination of peaceful, educational, exhausting, hilariously funny and I would recommend this tour to anyone young and old.

A truly amazing day in the rainforest and river - Such a fantastic day exploring the Daintree and Mossman Gorge. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough. Trent was our guide for a day which started with a traditional Kuku Yalanji smoking ceremony and explanation of how indigenous people have lived in and nurtured the rainforest. Then a fascinating and easy trek through the forest learning about the plants, trees and wildlife. After a great lunch in a locally run cafe we grabbed our inflatable rafts and walked up the Mossman river. Clear and clean in the most beautiful setting it was almost too perfect.. hard to believe it had been unchanged for up to a 180 million years. We drifted back to our start point in the most relaxing and fun way imaginable. Trent made the day hugely enjoyable, his humour, knowledge and constant eye on safety meant we were in great hands. Our kids - 11 and 13 - said it was the best day ever (I think about 11 feels the youngest you’d want to take given the walking and carrying of the raft. The river is shallow and feels very safe but you will want to be happy around water for this trip). Please sign up - you’ll be glad you did.
