Highlights
  • Stollmeyer’s Castle - A city highlight! Join a hop-on, hop-off tour on the western side of the savannah, exploring an architectural collection of castles, chalets, and coconut water. Stollmeyer’s Castle, also known as “Killarney,” is one of the seven striking mansions that form the Magnificent Seven around Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain. It was the first to be constructed, built in 1904 for entrepreneur Charles Stollmeyer by Scotsman Robert Gillies, who drew inspiration from Scotland’s Balmoral Castle.
  • Memorial Park - A park honoring Trinidad and Tobago nationals, Canadians, British, and Americans who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. Visit the city’s historical museum, where you can browse at your own pace (museum visit is subject to opening hours).
  • Maracas Beach - Next, enjoy a drive through the Northern Range Rainforest, offering breathtaking views. If you’re hungry, don’t worry—lunch is the famous Bake and Shark sandwich served on Maracas Bay Beach (guests are responsible for their own expenses). This popular spot is the quintessential Caribbean beach, equally famous for the scenic rainforest drive required to reach it. I just walked up to mitc by chance and had a lovely day and he was kind enough to let me hang with him, introduced me to his lovely family and this team goes out of their way to show you Trinidad and wanting more ! What is Shark n Bake? - This was offered on our tour and no one knew what it was. We found out on our tour. We also walked the city, heard the history, visited 2 beaches and had Shark n Bake at Richard's. We ate outside while watching the waves and had the best fish sandwich EVER. The fish is amazing and the (bake) is homemade bread. You get your sandwich and go to a buffet of toppings to decorate your own dish. It is so good.....I'm going back!
