Lovely - We booked the silver tour online, to be paid on arrival the next day. When we arrived at the port, the representative told us we couldn't do this trip as the tides have to be right. It can only be done a few days of the month. That's fine and can't be helped, but I was annoyed that they are selling the tour online when it's not possible and that they didn't contact me before I made my way to the port. When there he sold us the Bengali caves trip instead, which was lovely. The tour guide was very friendly and spoke lots of languages and we were able to get in close to the caves as the boat was small, maybe 16 people. Would recommend this trip for sure. The pirate ship looks fabulous but in fairness it can't get in close like this one can, we actually got in to a few caves, we loved it

Excursion Benagil Cave - An amazing 21⁄2 hour excursion. For 35 euros it's great. You see a lot of caves and if you're lucky dolphins. They also leave time for swimming in the middle of the sea. Pedro, the captain, great, the trip became very enjoyable. And David, the Guide, great. A super friendly, funny guy with perfect Spanish.

A good outing. - I asked for information in Playa da Rocha in one of the many booths that advertise, I was attended by Diego, very friendly explained in Spanish the details of the excursion, including price and boats. He told me I could book by whass and pay on the day of the excursion. All right. Out of curiosity I started reading the opinions of other users and I was aroused by the doubts, (I am angry that I hesitated and let myself be influenced by the opinions of people who best stayed at home) but we still did the excursion with them. I would like to add and as a response to some criticisms I read here... Hotel pickup: Super punctual. Arrival at the port of Portimao: it certainly seems a little chaotic and that there were many people, but logical if you have to verify that those we had booked by whass certainly were (they also have no guarantees that we are people of the word, and still have the capacity committed) but clearly indicate you, get in this queue, and they are verifying one by one the reservations, they explain everything again with an infinite patience, the boat that you choose, price and if you have not paid sooner charge you at that time. 35€ adults 15€ children under 10. There was no variation or price increase for choosing boat. Boarding the boats: They call you one by one in order (3 people!) and distribute you on the boats. It seems enough order to me, it must be that there are those who wait for a limousine from their hotel to the boat... Life jacket for everyone, and nothing to make you feel unsafe. At least that day. Excursion: Promised itinerary and caves visited as sea conditions allowed. For those who complain around here that they must be rain-fed, the tides, the waves, the wind and the currents cannot be assured no matter how much you pay. Don't dolphin them either, if they match and you see them and if not. We didn't see them, but it's not a cause for complaint, it's more likely to be late. Around here there are complaints even of the noise of the boat engine....to have taken a sailboat or a rowboat! Return to the hotel: Right. In the afternoon I had a message from Diego to ask if everything was okay and thank you for contracting with them. More tracking and customer orientation than many other sites.

Great tour but no Marinha beach - It was a great ride along the beautiful Algarve coastline. I’m giving this tour 3 stars because its name says “Benagil Cave & Marinha beach”, but we didn’t make it to Marinha beach. Turned around right after the Benagil cave. That was very disappointing as Marinha beach was the primary reason we went to Portugal. I hope that the tour organizers can change the title of the tour, so that people don’t get confused.

DON'T DOLPHIN. If you ask the captain confirms it at the beginning of the trip - When they sell it to you, they say you'll see the caves, bathe and try to get you to see the dolphins, but they don't guarantee it. YOU WON'T SEE THE DOLPHINS. The way has been straight to the last caves. As soon as we leave we have told him that the boy would like to see dolphins more than see caves, his answer has been that you do not see dolphins. Straight to the last caves, back seeing them all and have not given us a chance to bathe. That's if we got back to port before the time was up. Seeing the caves is fine, but not for bathing, let alone seeing dolphins.

Check the tide times and watch wind before you book, but maybe don’t bother booking - Very poor experience. No pre warning of trip being cancelled so we took an Uber to Portimão. On arrival they said “we are not sure if possible to get in caves due to wind but tomorrow ok” checked wind levels for both days and both the same so we gave it a shot. No real guidance of where to sit or instruction on how to fit life jackets. Boat very fast and sea was rough so maybe not suitable for young children. Saw some beaches and caves from a distance. Got to benegal caves and too rough to enter but tide was too low, there was no water in the cave anyway! Didn’t stop at a beach or follow dolphin route back. Was offered to swim at a beach in the port/river but only if people put their hands up?! Overall I would not recommend.

Manguitu’s service does not match what is sold. Purchase marina kiosk Portimao - Service purchased from the Manguitu’s kiosk on the marina of Portimão on August 12, 2024 for an outing on August 14, 2024 at 5:30 pm. Oversold by 2 beautiful speakers... , too many people on the boat. Prefer smaller boats with max 10/12 people with crew, if you are adept at discovering passing through the caves, from scratch to coastline Les +: boat accessible to people with mobility difficulties and very safe for young children. It's worth a ride for kids with grandparents.... The -: the few comments were not audible, (no or few people were able to hear given the sound level of the music, besides with this level of sound, it would be impossible to see any dolphins. As for the instant bathing, it is like boats specially designed to go into the caves: a smokehouse Do not listen to blah blahs on boats, the draft is not suitable. For the explanations of what we saw and see, we can thank a competing tour operator who was parked next to us . _ I quote him because he deserves it: boattrip.pt_, he had nothing to gain except that I would have preferred to make this discovery with them (at first sight, the more human dimension and in small groups 10 people with crews with a cultural dimension). With Manguitu’s, we were trapped by the beautiful speech, but a nice scam (swimming: it’s a pipe, the caves you see nothing,...). Service sold: 30€/pers, it's not worth them. To escape.

We do not recommend it if you want to see dolphins and swim in the high seas - Carolina is a guide who speaks great English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. The trip has been spectacular: tickets in the caves, explanations and time to take photos. Turning a corner. They inform you that they cannot guarantee that you will see dolphins because they are wild animals and do their best not to see them: loud music and excessive speed, promoting singing, screaming and clapping to the rhythm of the music, it seemed like a disco. The 15-minute swim in Benagil or Marinha has become a jump into the water next to a beach very close to the port, accompanied by shouting, contradictory instructions and rushing out. It hasn't lasted 2 1/2 hours.
