Great tour - Great morning trip to see Benegil Cave and surrounding grottos. I did the 9am session, which ended up being perfect weather for it. I ended up kayaking rather than SUP due to wave conditions and as the tour is kayak and SUP combined and after a discussion with the guide, we decided that as I was the only SUP and my first time, it would be safer to do kayaking instead. However very fun and manageable in a kayak. The guide was very capable and was able to switch between Portuguese, English and Spanish with ease due to the composition of the group for the information. Overall excellent session and would recommend

Fun exploration - A nice active tour to Benagil cave and other smaller hidden caves nearby to explore. Highly recommend. Was more of an exploration than a sightseeing trip.

Boat tour - Amazing tour, and the crew was fantastic. The boat was super safe and had all the space we needed. Highly recommend. The day was fantastic.

Good expirence - Everything was well organized and we had a lot of fun. I liked that we went by the cost and saw the coast before paddling, so i recommend the tour from portimao. Note that they do not provide waterproof bags for your phone, so you need to bring your own.

Great view to the Algarve rocky coast - Starting from Benagil beach along the coast to Benagil caves and Marinha beach. Had a stop in the caves and on a beach that can only be reached by the sea. Great trip with magnificent views to the colorful coast at our own speed. Also the accompaniment was great.

Amazing trip - A definite must for anyone in the Algarve. - What an amazing trip!!!! We went out in a speedboat along the coast and then went on the SUPs into the caves. The whole trip was awesome. The guides were really great - very funny and informative and very, very professional. The equipment was top quality. This is a highly recommended trip

The kayaks were... - The kayaks were uncomfortable since they had no seats. They could have strapped on the portable seats (which we had on another kayak tour to the Grotto and super comfortable for 2 hours of kayaking). The boat also was a bit uncomfortable since it had the straddle only seats. The guides were very gracious and fun so I do not blame them.

The conditions were not right for paddle boarding - We booked into a paddle boarding tour to Bengali caves with Ocean 4 Fun, but it wasn’t the best experience. We took one of the fast boats out to near the Bengali caves which was really fun - Although a little uncomfortable. Then we were quickly ushered off the boat onto our paddle boards. There was no explanation that we were going to be joining another paddle boarding group and the boat would be carrying on with the kayakers so they could get out at a different point. I have no idea if the instructor was with Ocean 4 fun or another company. He didn’t introduce himself to me (I was last off the boat) and he was soon heading off without any instructions. It was really hard to keep up. The waves were quite big and it was really choppy. We are experienced paddle boarders (and have our own boards at home) and we found it impossible to stand up or even keep up at times. It just felt like we had been left to our own devices. After we got to the caves, it got a little better. We were able to stick with the instructor better and could hear as he told us about different formations of the rocks. We got to go into some cool little caves too. My partner really struggled with her paddle board though as it was massively deflated and really hard to paddle. The instructor kindly swapped boards so she could actually paddle. We eventually joined back up with the Kayakers in our group as we got back on the boat. While the caves were lovely and the boat trip was fun, the experience was hard and quite stressful. Definitely not what we had planned for our first day of holiday. We both do a lot of water based sports and are comfortable with the water and the sea, but at times we felt quite unsafe and that the company we booked with didn’t really know where we were. I wish we had been given more information about how it was going to work with the paddle boards. I would definitely recommend kayaking instead of paddle boarding. The conditions were just not right for it. Unfortunately this was my least fav thing we did on our holiday.

Breakdown in communication ruined experience - Unfortunately did not have a good experience on the Stand up paddle board tour. Attempted to book online but payment section kept failing, contacted company to book via WhatsApp messages and confirmed 2 people for the SUP tour to be paid at the marina booth. Arrived and paid, again confirming with the staff there that it was the SUP tour that we booked. We were told to wait for rest of tour and tour guides to be taken to boat. When they (tour guides) arrived we were gathered together and taken by boat to first cave. Crew then started to take kayaks off boat instead. We pointed out it was the SUP version we had paid for and they seemed confused. Not sure where the breakdown in communication was within the company but appears no one told the crew. We were given the SUP boards but kayak paddles as were told we wouldn’t keep up without them. We visited 1st cave but my wife started to fall behind immediately. We asked at that point if we could change to kayak to allow us to keep up with the rest of the tour (all in kayaks) but we’re told it was too late so my wife had to get back on boat and miss out on the rest of the tour. Meanwhile, I had to use the kayak paddle with SUP board to keep up with the dual person kayaks. By the time I reached the Benagil cave and got off the board and onto the beach, I was too tired to enjoy the area and could barely stand up. No guidance on SUP board provided as per other reviews, 7 of us on tour so not limited to 4 as advertised here, and never got a standard SUP paddle at all. Very little information provided about the area during tour but maybe I missed that part during my workout session trying to keep up. Queried the tour setup with company by WhatsApp afterwards and yet to receive a response at the time of this review. Based on other reviews, it appears this is a one off, but it’s left a sour note on our vacation to the Algarve unfortunately.
