Delicious and Fun - We visited five unique and different food stops, including Iraqi, a food cart, the world's best biscuits, cubanos, and dessert. The tastes also included local beer, a mini margarita, and a latte with dessert. Alberta is a neighborhood we wouldn't have known about if not for the tour, and we had fun exploring the shops along the street after our tour.

Fascinating, filling and fun! - We did the Alberta Arts District food tour and had a wonderful time! Our guide Paul was very knowledgeable about the area because he lives there for many years and he’s also a food writer, so he’s the perfect person to lead the tour. We had tacos, local beer, Iraqi food, French food, Cuban sandwiches, a marionberry tart and more and we learned so much about the history of the neighborhood. Arrive hungry! You will be stuffed by the end of the tour!

Art & Food Tour Fun - We arrived early to the neighborhood for our food tour and stopped in at the Imperial for some cider. It was a perfect beginning to our walking food/art tour. We met our guide, Alexis, at Stella Tacos. We were the only people signed on for the tour, so that was kind of cool. The tacos were excellent (Barbacoa). The meat was tender and flavorful and the salsas were fresh and spicy. We then visited Dar Salam, Fine Goose (cart), Pine State Biscuits, Bunk Sandwiches, and Petite Provence. The food was divine at each destination. Our stand out favorite was Dar Salam, Alexis ordered a great variety of samples for us and we each ordered a glass of white Lebonese wine that was fresh and bright and tasted excellent with the food. In between food stops, we visited the murals on many of the buildings in the Alberta neighborhood and Alexis told us the history of the art and the area. She was knowledgeable and personable. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves food and wants to learn a little more about that area of Portland. I also appreciated the movement and walking in between food stops.

Great Way to Spend the Afternoon!! - Awesome food and cultural tour of Alberta St., Portland. I am from CA visiting my 24 yr old son and 2 roommates who live up in WA and we were trying to find a fun activity that could work rain or shine. We had a fabulous time and everyone is ready to go on some of the other tours offered by Eat Adventures. Started out with a delicious beer and carnitas tacos (the best I have ever had! - a full meal in fact) and went on to 5 other very diverse places. Each place was delectable and a huge sampling of food. YOU WILL NOT GO HUNGRY! Our guides had actually lived in this area so had insightful stories to share about its history and different crazy events they had experienced over the years. We heard about the background and meaning of various outdoor art murals and characters that live or lived on the street. Highly recommended.

Great overview of the area and generous portions - This was my 40th food tour, and I can say that that it was one of the better ones that I’ve done recently. We were in town visiting my sisters-in-law and their families, and I thought it would be a fun thing to do for the afternoon. I did some research ahead of time and chose this tour because it was baby friendly, and we knew we’d have a one-year old in tow. We wound up having a private tour for the six adults in our party, which was great because it meant that we didn’t feel like we were annoying anyone else by having the little one with us, even though she was really well-behaved the whole time. It was also helpful that we were able to sit at every stop, although I think that if this tour had the maximum of 14 people, which it apparently gets sometimes in the summer, it would’ve felt too crowded. Learned some interesting facts about Oregon and the history of the Alberta Arts District along the way. Was great to have a guide that had lived in the area and had some colorful anecdotes to share. Seems like another funky, charming neighborhood juggling the process of gentrification, with all of the hippie-to-hipster pros and cons that come along with that. I enjoyed every stop and thought that the portions were very generous, usually splitting full-size plates. And when you have 6 of those…you basically wind up with a very filling 3-course meal. Definitely saw some places that we’d check out next time and loved all of the street art. We were a little too full and cold (San Diego wusses) to explore more, but next time, we’ll come earlier to check out more of the stores and side streets.

Five Stars- the Best Tour! - Alexis had wonderful fun information about the historical stories around the Alberta Art District! The food venue was tasty and had a range of different types of food. My boyfriend and I never been on a food tour before, so this was a very positive uplifting experience for the both of us! I would do this again with only having ALEXIS be our tour guide!

5 star would come back again! - The tour was an experience and it was exciting. My girlfriend and I had a great first time doing this tour and our tour guide, Alexis, did a great job explaining a lot of information about the arts in Portland. The food picked and sampled was amazing and I would recommend it to all my friends and family.
