Highlights
  • Director Park - Our central meeting location and pick up point! A beautiful, urban park in the middle of Downtown Portland.
  • Willamette Valley - Departing from downtown Portland, we’ll make our way along the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Route, past orchards, lavender fields, and farms, to the famous Willamette Valley. As Oregon’s leading wine region, the valley is home to more than 500 wineries. Recognized as of one of the premier Pinot Noir producing areas of the world, the wine from this area is often likened to France’s Burgundy region. Throughout the drive, your guide will share the history of Oregon wine production, how our valley was formed, and what makes its soil so idyllic for our world-famous wine grapes. We’ll also discuss the 6 different sub-appellations of the valley.

In the heart of the Willamette Valley, we will visit three carefully selected wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms where we will partake in viticulture talks and wine tastings.

Most wineries offer convenient shipping options straight to your home, and all of them have deals to purchase your favorite wines in lieu of paying tasting fees.

  • Director Park - We will end our tour back at Director Park, our central drop off location in the heart of Downtown Portland.

A memorable day and wine tour - We arrived in Portland 3 days prior to our Columbia River cruise and wanted to explore the area. We enjoy red wine and knew of the excellent Pinot noirs from the Willamette Valley, so a tour was scheduled with Wildwood Adventures. There were six of us in the group and Dominique was our guide. We felt very fortunate to have her, as she really is an expert! We enjoyed the scenic drive and visited 3 different wineries for tastings. We enjoyed the day, the wines, and learned a lot!

The best day! - So fantastic! Malia was so informative, easy to talk with, knowledgeable and great at bringing a group together. The wineries visited were good and the timing of it all, was so relaxing and organic. The wines were delicious as well as numerous! I will definitely do this again when I come back to Portland and look to have Malia as my guide again.

Fun was had! - My mom and I wanted to spend some time together and play tourist for a day. We are from the area and have been wine tasting before. But going with Wildwood Adventures and our guide, Will, made it more relaxing and fun. We didn’t have to worry about driving, or planning anything. We experienced new wineries. And even learned a few cool things about our state that we didn’t know! It was fun to meet the other people on the tour who came from other places. And even though it was raining, the scenery was still beautiful.

Outstanding Private Tour of the Willamett Valley - I planned a private tour of both the waterfalls and a couple of vineyards in the Hood river valley for my wife during the Valentines Day weekend. Taylor did a fantastic job working with me to plan something unique and special. Due to the weather, we decided to switch our private tour at the last minute to a wine tasting tour only since we did'nt want to see the waterfalls in the rain. Taylor was so very helpful and accomodating to reconfugure our itenerary to now visit 3 wineries and lunch in the Willamett Valley. We had the absolute best time. First, we had Will as our guide and driver. He is outstanding. We immediately developed a bond with him as he began to share incredible details about the Willamett Valley wine country and Portland in general. It was like having a good friend a your tour guide and desinated driver. It was a fantastic exeprience and we will choose Wildwood and Will when we come back the next time with our friends.
