Additional Information

The city of Braga, originally known as ‘Bracara Augusta’, was established by the Romans in the second century B.C. Evidence of its ancient origins can be found throughout the city. It is primarily a destination for religious tourists, having the highest number of churches in the nation. Each year, a myriad of visitors flock to Braga, drawn by either its religious significance or cultural offerings.

During a few hours’ journey, you will explore the heart of Braga, including the renowned ‘Triangle of Faith’, which comprises the sanctuaries of Sameiro, Bom Jesus, and the Cathedral.

It’s worth noting that Braga is teeming with youthful energy due to the numerous university colleges from ‘Alto Minho’, leading to its recognition as the European City of Youth in 2012. Experience all this and more on a private four-hour tour from Porto!

Unforgettable - The visit was beautiful, well done and organised. The guide J. Paulo Castro is prepared, available, energetic and very kind. He explained the history of the two cities to us and allowed us to have experiences that very few tourists have the opportunity to have. A thousand thanks!

The most complete tour - I took 4 tours with LivingTours. They were all excellent. They leave the tourist with time. These are great details, they show everything. It's not superficial. The guide Ale did Santiago and Paul did Coimbra. Wonderful. Congratulations.
