Douro Valley, Quinta, tastings, boat and meals. - Beautiful day. Our Guide was fantastic, explaining the wine, estates and history of the area. Extraordinary meal, hearty and good, accompanied by delicious wines. The visit to the estate, which has been in the same family for 5 generations was perfect. The boat ride gives us another perspective of the place, and the Portonic accompanied by perfect local specialties! I highly recommend this visit, we were 6, so privileged.

Douro Valley Experience - The Douro Valley tour was an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we left the meeting point, the organization and attention to detail were impeccable. Tour Guide Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the region and passionate about what he does. He provided detailed information about the history, culture, and wine-making traditions of the Douro, which greatly enriched our experience. Additionally, he was very attentive and always available to answer questions and offer tips. Scenery The landscapes of the Douro are simply stunning. The terraced vineyards along the river create a picturesque and unforgettable scene. We had several opportunities to stop at viewpoints to take photos and appreciate the view, which was one of the highlights of the tour. Wine Tasting The visit to the wineries was fantastic. We had the chance to visit some of the most renowned estates in the region, where we were warmly welcomed. The wine tastings of Port and other locally produced wines were excellent. The winery offered a selection of high-quality wines and explained the production process in detail. Cruise on the Douro River The boat trip on the Douro River was magical. Surrounded by vineyards and hills, was a relaxing and invigorating experience. The boat was comfortable, and the crew on board was very hospitable. Lunch Lunch was served at a typical regional restaurant and was delicious. The food was authentic and flavorful, providing a true taste of local cuisine. Conclusion I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring the Douro Valley. The combination of beautiful landscapes, exceptional wines, rich history, and local hospitality makes this tour an unmissable experience. It was undoubtedly one of the best trips I've ever taken!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! - We booked this experience as part of our week long exploration of Portugal. Little did we know that it would be one of our best highlights of our entire trip. Our guide Denis was friendly and professional. His depth of knowledge regarding the region was expansive and truly interesting. We had a private tour of a local winery after seeing the beautiful sites of the area. We then visited another winery where we enjoyed a multi course farm to table meal complete with wine, appetizers and dessert. It was amazing. We wrapped up the tour with a private guided boat tour on the Duoro River where we were treated to more wine and snacks. A beautiful ending to a wonderful day. Porto to Douro Valley - Ricardo is a fantastic guide. His love of the Douro Valley really translated over in his tour. He took us to a breathtaking view, probably the best of the Douro Valley. The boat tour he teamed up with is equally amazing. The guide on the boat tour also shared a rich history of the valley and the wines that they produce. Lunch was at a beautiful farm estate led by an outstanding crew and talented chef. The final stop was at a local winery where they showed us their processes and offered a tasting of all their various wines. We had an opportunity to buy wines a the end of the tour and they even offer shipping options if you can't take any wines back home with you.

Highly recommended small boutique tour - Team was excellent. Nice van. Good group of travelers. Went to places that would not be available on larger tour. Ate lunch at a person’s home, small boutique wines, and views of Douro Valley. Great river cruise too.

The Most Incredible Douro Valley Wine Tour Available! - The was a most amazing day in the Douro Valley. Every detail was looked after, each stop was special, we selected, and wonderfully executed. I literally could not have been more pleased with everything. The day started in Porto where we were met by our host for the trip. She was wonderful and informed us every step of the way, pointing out things of special interest and always there to help with our family pictures. The winery tour was at a smaller family vineyard with exceptional wines and a family member giving the tour. We learned about the history, the classes of local wines, there are many, and even could climb into a barrel through the small opening (one is born again coming out🤣). From there we went to a most beautiful Douro valley vista for an overview of this incredible valley. After that it was on the lunch. This was not a sandwich Picknick but a wonderful sit-down affair. After a tour of the kitchen and seeing cooking techniques on the open fire we sat down to wines from the family serving us and local, authentic and incredible food. There were many courses and you were offered refills if desired. It may be a good time to mention our fellow travelers. We were accompanied by a couple from Canada and Hawaii, we are from California. It may have simply been good luck, but our group was very nice to be with as well. Then, as if our experiences could not be topped, we toils our boat tour on the Douro. The tour starts up the Douro, which is a good thing as passing the locks along the way takes far to much time. The boat was perfect for our group size and well appointed to address an impending rain if needed (we were lucky and it only started to rain when we returned). Onboard we were offered the now famous Port and tonic cocktail along with specialty cheese, Iberian ham, sausage and more. The guide on board was equally great. She knew everything and informed us of many details of the Douro valley (she was born in a small town not far away). Then the final phase was the drive along the Douro back to Porto. Our tour guide for the day proved to be an excellent driver on the often narrow winding roads. We returned to Porto after a great day. We could not have fit more in and everything was perfect.

Unforgettable trip to Douro Valley - My wife and I enjoyed this tour very much! The tour felt very personal as we were only six guests on the tour in a private and comfortable van. We had a great time and learned a lot about Douro region and their wine. Vania and Daniel made this tour unforgettable! Although the weather was not cooperative and the boat tour was canceled due to the weather conditions, Vania was able to quickly organize a visit to the olive oil museum with tastings of olive oil and amazing wine and beautiful views. A complete and spectacular day. - Magnificent experience in the Duero Valley. They have great control over where the best views are, we were able to taste a lot of wines in the same wineries and I personally loved the place where we ate, it was super authentic and the food was spectacular. Just what we were looking for. I will surely repeat with these people for future commitments with the family.

Luxury sightseeing - wonderful lunch and visit to port distillery - We had a great day with a small group tour. Highlight was the port tasting, climbing inside a port barrel and enjoying a farm style lunch

Amazing Lunch and Views - There was only 4 of us on the tour, and our driver was Denis. The weather was awful, so it made the tour and driving a challenge. Denis gave us lots of interesting information as we drove. The first two stops were views of the valley which we were unable to see, due to the low cloud and mist. We did manage to get a few pictures after the weather cleared. We carried on to the wine tasting. Denis did his best to keep us out of the rain. The wine tasting was amazing and we tasted quite a few different wines and port. The women that did the actual tour was amazing. Next we went for lunch. I do not remember the name of the place, but it exceeded our expectations in every way. Got a tour of the amazing kitchen and were served delicious food. The wine flowed freely and was included. The restaurant was a family run business, that catered to tour groups. It was definatly the highlight of the trip. Next we headed to the boat tour, which was well organized for just the 4 of us. They served us a drink and some appetizers. All in all, it was a great day. I would definatly recommend this tour.
