    Discover the city’s history and visit the Church and Monastery of São Gonçalo. Admire the bridge believed to have originally existed here, as it was part of the Roman road leading through Amarante to Guimarães and Braga.

  • Sao Goncalo Church - Construction began in 1543 and took about 80 years. It features Renaissance, Mannerist, Baroque, and 19th-century styles.
    Notable for its pipe organ and the tomb of Blessed Gonçalo de Amarante on the right side of the altar.
    The pipe organ, with 43 registers, was built in 1766 by Galician organ maker Francisco António Solha.

  • Collection is made at hotels in the center of Porto. For private accommodation and other types of accommodation, the meeting point is next to the statue of Vimara Peres, close to the Porto Cathedral.
