Absolutely perfect day with a fun and informative guide. - We had Anselmo as our guide and I cannot say enough good things about him and our whole day. He was personable, knowledgeable, flexible, and fun to be around. This is so important with a private day tour because you are with the guide the whole day. He brought us to the beauty of the Duoro Valley, making stops at key view points, and he helped us understand the history of the area and details of winemaking. I am still thinking about how the roots grow so far straight down into the shale, creating a whole upside down vineyard in a way! The lunch stop was delicious and really special. More than I expected. Worth the splurge to do a private tour with Anselmo!!

Wonderful day with a local in Douro Valley - My husband and I had a private tour with Louis and it was wonderful. We'd strongly recommend this tour if you are in the Porto area. The Douro Valley is beautiful and has such interesting history, there's no better way to go than boat and car. Having a local sharing history and knowing all the great spots to go and treats to get us made it super special . We will hire Luis again, when we come back, he's great!

A beautiful day in Portugal - We spent a great day learning about Port and wine making with our guide Anselmo in the scenic Duoro valley. He took us a little off the beaten track to scenic view points and lovely Quintas

A highly recommended private Tour of the Duoro Valley - Oh my gosh, this trip is a MUST!! We had the most fabulous time with our Guide Luis! We were picked up at the front door of our hotel, driven in a comfortable vehicle, all the way through the valley with a guide that knew the entire history and had incredible knowledge of the area and the wines. The Duoro a valley is just beautiful! We stopped for a coffee in a local shop. The winery we visited was spectacular! We experienced sweeping views, a tour of the winery and and an incredible lunch paired with local wines. We highly recommend this tour!!

Private Tour with Rui two thumbs up! - Our guide Rui was amazing. He shared so much knowledge with us! The private tour was my first, and I really liked the personalized experience. It was great to see the Douro from water level up to mountain top level.

Beautiful trip to Douro River Valley - Anselmo was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Visited 2 wineries and had a lovely river cruise. The scenery was beautiful.

Unforgettable experience with a friendly and knowledgeable guide - To begin with, Mother Nature provided a gorgeous day for our tour. Our guide, Anselmo, arrived on time to pick my husband and I up at our hotel. The drive to the Douro was smooth and very picturesque. We replaced the boat tour for a visit to another winery; this, we visited 2 wineries. Both tastings were really good. We learned about the history and the process of making port wine. We tasted different types of port wines, all excellent. Prior to our day tour, I asked Anselmo if there were olive oil tastings; if so, if we could include one. He arranged it at one of the wineries and we loved it. Anselmo took us to spots for taking amazing pictures of the area - which is really breathtaking!!! I highly recommend this tour if you're looking for individualized attention, service, and a passionate guide.

A taste of Douro - We had a beautiful experience! Our host was passionate about wine and ensured we were comfortable through out our trip. Would definitely do again, as there are so many vinyards.

Douro Valley day trip - I really appreciated how Andre maneuvered the days schedule to make the most out our visit! I particularly enjoyed the wine making tour and learning first hand about the process… and, of course, the wine!

Couldn’t take the trip due to sudden illness - Couldn’t take the trip due to my spouse got sick last min, I contacted the driver, local tour operator company and viator. Did not get any refund or even partial refund or voucher. It’s an expensive trip. I know it’s last min cxl but my spouse was genuinely sick to take 8 hr tour. Sad viator doesn’t do even give partial refund for real reason. Cannot really comment on the tour at all. I called viator so many times but they did not gv any specific international 24 hr phone line. Specially if they are operating almost every where in the world.
