Excellent bike tour! - Great way to see a lot of Porto (and Gaia!) in a short time (2.5-3 hours). Helmets are available if you would like to wear one. We were able to travel so far and it was so wonderful to bike by the ocean with the fresh air. He even took us to a small bakery that is a favourite of the locals. Would highly recommend

Great start to a fabulous time in Porto - Arranged this on the day of our arrival, to orientate ourselves with the various areas, the sunset tour met at 4.00 pm. The tour was led by Ellio and consisted of myself, husband and one other couple from Belgium. Ellio was very informative stopping regularly to point out landmarks and points of interest. We rode over the Pont Dom Luis Bridge through Gaia past the Port Wine Cellars along the River to Afurada (Fisherman's District) Ellio pointed out some local typical non touristy fish restaurants, we went back to for a delicious meal the following day. Crossed back over the Douro River on a small ferry(Rabelo) before riding on through the Foz District (very English) up to where the River opens up to the Sea.We rode back via some lovely parks and gardens, overall we was out for nearly four hours but we had plenty of stops for refreshments and fresh fruit which the company provided for us. Ellio was very knowledgeable on the area and the also the history of Portugal. A great trip to kick off with and we liked it because it is limited riding on roads with traffic on, mainly using on cycle paths and does not tackle the hills up into the old town which would be very testing cycling.

Perfect welcome to Porto - We arrived in Porto around lunchtime and had booked the Sunset Bike Tour to help orientate us around the city. Great decision and we had a fantastic afternoon covering a lot of distance and places we never would have seen without Elio - our guide - and the bikes. A highlight was taking a small ferry for the quick hop across the Douro and the wonderful fishing community of Afurada. We rented e-bikes but they weren't really necessary as the tour was mainly along the riverbank and only one small short hill at the end. Thoroughly recommend the tour.

Fantastic way to see Porto - So pleased we chose to do a tour on bicycles, got to see and experience so much more than the traditional tour buses. Our guide Antonio was great, very knowledgeable about everything from history to plants to football. The tour took us to places that we would have missed out on - beautiful parks, beaches, ferry trip to a fisherman’s village with fascinating stories from Antonio. My daughter and I opted for electric bikes and have come back wanting some of our own - such fun. Thanks guys - great tour!

A lovely evening biking on the waterfront! - Late October, we ended on a private sunset bike tour with Elio. What a great guy! It was a warm, sunny day, which turned into a clear, balmy evening lit up by a gorgeous moon. We could not have asked for a better afternoon/evening cruising along the Douro riverfront. The journey included a couple stops for amazing pastel de natas and coffee. We rode far... to the coast, through a lovely park, grabbed a water taxi across the Douro, back along the "Gaia" side and then across the Pont Luis I bridge to our starting point. It was mostly flat (one big hill), but we covered a great distance-- 20+ kilometers! One of the best spent days on our Porto trip!

Nothing special - Quite average tour. Forget about the sunset when it ends at 7pm. Guide lives in Porto for 8 months so hardly a guide. Bikes quite average. Overall waste of money to be honest, would be better to rent bikes without a guide and cycle along the beach ourselves.

Nice ride....could use some improvements - The bikes were comfortable, the route was nice and the tour leader was friendly enough. However she didn’t know much about the history of Porto (such the age of the forts, the background of the park, etc). On past bike tours we have booked through Viator, the tour leader was very concerned about rider safety., ie making sure everyone got across the intersections safely. This leader didn’t help with crossing busy streets as others have done. One of our riders fell. She didn’t realize for several minutes (kept riding ahead) nor did she come back to check on the rider or the rest of the group that stayed with him as he recovered.
