  • Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral) - You will have a quick stop at “Se Catedral”. An imposing Romanesque monument whose construction began in the 12th century. It is the oldest monument in Porto. Some say that the first stone was laid by Queen D. Teresa.
  • Sao Bento Railway Station - Your guide will tell you the story of the famous train station “Estação São Bento”, built in the early twentieth century under the reign of Carlos D. Da and Amelia where stood the convent of Saint Benedict Ave Maria, the inauguration took place in 1896, while the official opening of the line was November 7, 1916.
  • Avenida Dos Aliados - You will discover Aliados Avenue, a beautiful avenue, originally named Allied Nations Avenue, which was opened in 1916 after a renovation plan for the city center connecting the Trinity and Liberty squares.
  • Igreja do Carmo - This church was built on land next to the Carmelite Church on the west side, which was given to the Order in 1752. As it wasn’t allowed to build two churches together at the time, the so-called Hidden House was built between them, which you’ll find out more about on our tour.
  • Igreja dos Carmelitas - Carmelitas Church is a place that tells a curious story about Porto - it started to be built in the 17th century. You can observe its facades while listening to the guide’s explanation
  • Hospital de Santo Antonio - A general, central and university hospital, it is responsible for teaching the Integrated Master’s Degree in Medicine of the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) of the University of Porto.
  • Torre dos Clerigos - Finally, the Clerigos Tower, “Igreja e Torre dos Clérigos” representation of baroque style in the heart of the city.
