Duration: 9 hours

Highlights
  • Dunluce Castle - Next, we head to Dunluce Castle for a photo stop. This medieval castle, now in ruins, is perched on the edge of a basalt cliff and is one of the most scenic castles in all of Ireland.
  • Giant’s Causeway - Our second destination is the Giant’s Causeway, often referred to as ‘the 8th wonder of the world.’ It is Ireland’s only world heritage site. During our visit, you can explore the ancient stones, take photos, and ponder the myths and legends of this unique area.
  • Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge - Currently closed and inaccessible due to Covid restrictions.
  • Antrim Coast Road - The Antrim Coast Road is considered one of the most beautiful stretches of road in the world. It hugs the coastline, offering stunning seaside views, passing pristine beaches, and sheltering under rugged cliffs. On a clear day, you might even see Scotland!
  • Harrys Cushendall - Located in Cushendall, in the heart of the Glens of Antrim and Causeway Coast, Harry’s Licensed Restaurant sources all its food from local suppliers. We take pride in the freshness of our seafood dishes. (Time permitting)
  • Carrickfergus Castle - Our final stop is at Carrickfergus Castle, located on the northern shore of Belfast Lough. This Norman castle, dating back to 1177, has been besieged by the Scots, Irish, English, and French over the centuries. It remains one of the best-preserved medieval structures in Ireland and offers a fantastic photo opportunity.
  • Belfast - The Belfast City Tour includes wall murals, peace walls, Falls Road, Shankill Road, and more. (Due to time constraints, this is not a Hop-on/Hop-off service and will last approximately 30 minutes)

Great scenic tour - Absolutely loved our trip to Giant’s Causeway. Northern Ireland is so beautiful and we got to see a lot on our drive. The Causeway is amazing. Our guide Lisa was super knowledgeable and helpful, and our driver Stevie kept us safe. We would do it again!

A great tour! - A great tour to see the city and landscape of Belfast. The Giant Causeway was an amazing site. It was a great day. Lisa was our guide and Robert was our driver, well done especially since our ship came in a bit late. Do not regret wait to book this tour. Thank you Citysightseeing Belfast.

Absolute bargain! - I booked this excursion like a week before our trip bc I accidentally canceled another tour I booked. This tour had great reviews, but I was skeptical bc it was like half the price of the other one (and even that is like 1/3 of the price the ship charges) - and I was like something HAS to be wrong... Nope! It's a great tour, covering a LOT of ground. Andrew was our guide and driver extraordinaire - he was amazing! He talked a good part of the tour, telling us about the history of the places we visited, including a lot of the local folklore and superstitions (which was fascinating!). He seriously knows his stuff. We stopped at Harry's in Cushendall for lunch, which was divine. And we got back well before our ship departure. **Just to note, at Giants Causeway, there is a good walk down to the site but you can take a shuttle that goes back and forth (1£ each way). We walked down and then took the shuttle up. The hotel there sells some souvenirs and baked goods and drinks for takeaway as well. The 1.5 hrs we were given was more than enough time to see the Causeway and nip into the hotel for some cappuccino and snacks and use the restroom.

Great experience - Tour guide was fantastic. The causeway was amazing, I could have spent days there. The stop for lunch was good! Wish I could have tried the fish and chips it looked so tasty (I have allergies) but the bacon burger was so good!!! Loved the information and stories told by the driver along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour.

What a great value - Our family is on a British Isles cruise and stopped in Belfast yesterday. Lisa from CitySightSeeing was easy to find, standing right outside of the gift shop at the pier. The coach was comfortable and our driver Joe expeditiously drove us up the freeway in order to beat most of the crowds at Dunluce Castle and Giant’s Causeway. Lisa was a well spoken and very knowledgeable guide who kept us entertained throughout our time in the coach. We learned a lot about the people, history, and folklore of Northern Ireland. We had enough time to walk down the entire path at Giant’s Causeway and take pictures but not a lot more. This was fine because we had so much more to see. If you haven’t been to Giant’s Causeway, it is a must see because of its beauty and uniqueness. On the way back, Joe drove us down the scenic coast. We stopped for a view of the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Sadly, we were not able to walk across the bridge because while it was closed during Covid, it was discovered that the coaches were damaging the natural flora so they are now prohibited. The view was pretty though. We stopped in a very cute small town for lunch at a pub called Harry’s. The upstairs was mostly reserved for our group and we had a limited menu of five or six entrees so they could serve us quickly. The food was adequate. Nothing to write home about but perfectly acceptable. We made one more stop off for pictures of Carrickfergus Castle before heading to Belfast for a historical commentary and viewing of the various murals. At our tour’s conclusion we were dropped off quite close to our ship with plenty of time to spare. Overall this was an amazing tour at a fraction of the price of going through the cruise ship. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone coming to Belfast via cruise ship. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic! - What a fantastic day we had, Lisa our guide and a wealth of information, along with Joe our great driver, kept us informed, entertained, on schedule, and on the road (for those who have ever driven the Antrim Coastal Road you'll understand). We actually drove the reverse course of most of the other tour buses and by doing so got to the Giants Causeway ahead of the crowds. We couldn't have asked for better weather if we tried and we saw the beautiful sites along the Antrim Coast. I highly recommend this fantastic tour!!!

Best Excursion to date! - Lisa (tour guide) and Joe (driver) were both absolutely fantastic. This tour has the most bang for your buck I’ve ever experienced. So much history to visit, so much knowledge shared by the tour guide. Just overall amazing. We got to the causeway before all the other tours so we had plenty of time to ourselves on the rocks. The food stop was great as well and fairly priced. This was hands down the best tour of my life to date. Be warned: there is walking and some people on my tour bus didn’t read that so they were very upset at the causeway when they couldn’t manage to figure out the bus system. If there was more time, I would have loved to spend more time at the causeway. It’s breathtaking. Do take the red trail if you are physically fit enough. The views are worth it. The stairs aren’t that scary. When you go down the red path, and find the split off for the yellow, travel ever so slightly down the yellow to see the rocks in the wall before heading back. I didn’t and by the time I realized it, it was too late.
