Hugo is the man - Hugo was an absolute legend, he knew everything about everything. He was attentive and made the experience feel special for everyone in our group. We highly recommend this day tour. The quality of the experience was well worth the money and we would recommend this to anyone. Thank you Hugo!

brilliant! - the whole day was brilliant. The wineries fir the tastings were in the mpst beautiful locations. lunch was superb and the icing on the cake was the Doura river trip, spectacular scenery. Sam our guide was friendly fun and informative. Well worth it if you want a smaller group experience. highly recommend.

Wonderful private tour in the Douro Valley - We had a wonderful wine tasting tour. Our guide Samuel was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke very good english and made our day trip to the beautiful wine region of Portugal exceptional. Verena and Hugo were very responsive to my every question and went out of their way to make our trip special. Thank you Verena , Hugo and our driver Samuel!! Obrigado!!

MUST DO - This was our favorite thing from the trip it’s a MUST DO!! The smaller more intimate group allows you to get the most from the experience and we learned so much more than you would on one of those massive bus tours. The wineries were something out of a movie both different but once in a lifetime experiences I will be telling everyone about to do it at home! Hugo was the best and I hope we can come back soon!

A day in the Douro Valley - Jean was an excellent tour guide we would highly recommend. He knew his stuff about the Douro Valley. He interacted with all the people on the tour. The presentation and tasting at the first winery was excellent, funny and interactive. The river cruise was beautiful and relaxing. Lunch was lovely. The presentation at lunch was the kind of communal European experience one reads about in travel blogs.

A great day in the Douro Valley - We had a wonderful day with many great stops!
Starting with good tastings of the Port wines with scenic views and lots of information about the Douro Valley!
A delicious lunch and a boat trip completed our day!
Despite the special situation during the forest fires we felt very well looked after by our German speaking guide!!

Wonderful experience - Excellent tour with a really knowledgeable guide. Super well organised and clearly carefully selected and curated by the Viva team. Extremely enjoyable and we learnt a lot. This was a really genuine and compelling experience of the Douro region, its culture and its many delicious products.
