Additional Information

On arriving at the planned pick-up point, we will embark towards Pompeii and Herculaneum, with an optional trip to Vesuvius - the volcano responsible for the creation of these archaeological sites.

Pompeii is the most frequented archaeological site worldwide, thanks to its vast and well-preserved remnants, remnants of a city buried by Vesuvius’s eruption in 79 A.D. This site made it to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997.

Herculaneum, a counterpart to Pompeii, was also buried by the same Vesuvius eruption that ruined the bigger Pompeii. However, its destruction was unique, being buried under a 16-25 meter rock, making it a distinct archaeological spectacle offering an alternative perspective of the Roman world.

Mount Vesuvius, a large cone semi-surrounded by the precipitous edge of a caldera summit caused by the breakdown of a formerly higher structure, offers a captivating view of Naples bay.

You will have a journey through time, uncovering the lifestyle of Romans two millennia ago.
