Sergio is GREAT! - When we planned our Trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast, getting from Rome to Positano became a concern. After much research we decided to hire a private transfer from Rome airport to Positano. It may seem more expensive at first than renting a car or taking a high speed train, in the end taking a private transfer was a great value. The best part was we had Sergio behind the wheel! When we landed in Rome we got through baggage and customs fast and we were looking at a 2 hour wait before Sergio’s scheduled arrival. I took a chance and called his cell. Bottom line is he came right away and got there an hour early to greet us. From there we hopped in his Mercedes van and we were off and running. Sergio is very accommodating, and exceedingly friendly man who also is very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to the Amalfi Coast and his home city of Naples! When we talked about getting some lunch he immediately called and booked us a wine tasting/ tour lunch at the Cantina Del Vesuvio winery. After that he took us to a tour of Herculaneum which we booked in advance with him, and then he drove us straight away to Positano. He is an excellent driver, and we all appreciated his skill navigating the twists and turns getting to Positano. When we got close to our AirBNB he called the owner to get a specific location so we were as close as possible to the house. Positano is a “vertical town” with a billion stairs so that little effort by Sergio was very appreciated. We will hopefully use Sergio again when we travel from Praiano to Naples.
