What an amazing day!!! - Amazing experience from start to finish. Our tour guide Micky was incredible! From the Bled castle stop, to exploring Lake Bled, boat trip and seeing the church, she knew so much about Slovenia and spoke very good English. There were 20 people in the group and they were all British and had a fantastic time. It was a long day we were staying in Porec and our pickup time was 7:45am and we were back at the hotel around 8pm. Definitely wear trainers if you can as it’s quite a bit of walking up steep slopes and stairs. We would do it again in a heartbeat and would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Porec.

Fantastic Lake Bled! - Brilliant, brilliant trip! We missed out last year on this due to a lack of numbers! This is a must if you are in Croatia. What place to visit and well worth the long journey time which was three to four hours in all. Lake Bled itself was very very busy but it really was worth it. I have never seen views like it. Castle visit included free time on the lake and then a boat trip to the island. We also had the famous cream cake. Our guide was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable.

Fabulous! ***** - Initially the thought of the long coach ride was daunting; however it wasn't an issue at all (with a couple of rest breaks either side). The time went by so quick and the coach was air conditioned. The guide was very informative and constantly gave an insight into the history of Croatia/Slovenia - with other titbits of information. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Lake Bled exceeded my expectations - breath taking views like something out of a fairy tale! Another experience ticked off my bucket list. We enjoyed views from the Castle; free time to walk around the lake and finishing off with a traditional boat (pletnas) across to Bled Island and St. Mary's Church. This is definitely not a trip to be missed!

Long day, well worth it - Really well organised trip, great informative tour guide. With some beautiful scenery. Well worth doing. Notes - the trip from pula town is longer than advertised. There is a really steep hill, that leads up to the castle entrance and either 99steps or another steep hill upto the church.

Amazing trip - Our guide was brilliant, very engaging and informative. He knows so much and kept the tour on track. It was also very well organised as we were picked up by mini bus and then transferred to the main coach, both of which were clean and comfortable. At Lake Bled there was the option to do a horse and carriage ride around the lake. It was €70 per for four people in a carriage. We got to go to Castle Bled, to the town of Bled and on a boat ride on Lake Bled. We learnt so much about Slovenia and Croatia. Would fully recommend.

Beautiful views! - The day trip was great, although I would not use Viatour again to book the excursions. It’s better to book these trips directly with the company who actually run the tour. I was asked to go at a meeting point, 30-60 minutes before the pick up time and they gave me the wrong address for the meet up point which made the whole thing very stressful. However, the company running the tour were great, our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Lake Bled is beautiful, it rained a lot on the day we went with some sunny bits and we made the best of it. The original cream cake that we all had was like our custard cream but with less flavour. The horse carriage ride round the lake was also fun. The castle was nothing special but the views from it were spectacular. Boat ride to the island was fun too, but the little shops on the island were really expensive!! Glad I did the tour and might have to go back there and stay for a few days around there.

Beautiful scenery and excellent trip. - Seeing the beautiful Julian Alps for the first time and then seeing Lake Bled and its beautiful church and castle were worth the few hours in the bus. The tour guide was constantly informative and explained all the activities and procedures well in advance. We did the optional horse and cart ride around the lake and it was well worth the money. Unfortunately it started to rain very heavily after we had been to the castle but before we went to the church. Going to the castle and taking in the scenery before that was perfect though. We were quite surprised that the boat trip to the church on the island still went ahead in the middle of torrential rain and thunder and lightening but still glad we did it. I guess the storm made it even more memorable !

Great experience - This really is highly recommended. It's a long day, but the stops on the way ( food toilets) where spot on. Lake bled is stunning, from the castle views to the boat ride. You have free time in bled. I would recommend the horse and carnage around the lake. Our guide was superb throughout.
