Additionally, we’ll conclude this visit with a breathtaking view of Prague’s rooftops. Note that we’ll only view the historical monuments from the outside.
Nerudova - This charming street was once part of The Royal Route. As we stroll down, we’ll observe the house signs that were historically used for navigation and have many stories to tell.
Malostranske namesti - Lesser Town Square is home to numerous luxurious palaces where the history of the Czech Republic was shaped by influential families. We’ll delve into the fascinating lives of the aristocrats and pay special attention to the Church of St. Nicholas, a baroque gem of the city.
Charles Bridge - Charles Bridge is a place filled with energy. Charles the Fourth himself believed so, laying the first stone on a significant date. We’ll admire the mystical beauty of the bridge and discuss its most intriguing facts. And perhaps, make a wish?
Klementinum - We’ll escape the crowds and find ourselves in the serene courtyard of the Jesuit college, a place created by some very dangerous individuals. What secrets do the walls of Klementinum hold? What role did the Jesuit order play in Prague’s history? We’ll uncover all of this.
Stare Mesto (Old Town) - The most important and beautiful square in Prague is often considered the heart of the city. It has witnessed all the major historical events, from bustling markets to grim executions. Old Town Hall with Astronomical Clock - Every day, hundreds gather to watch the brief appearance of the apostles’ statues from the small window atop the clock. What makes the Prague Astronomical Clock so unique, despite there being around ten similar clocks in Europe? Who was the master behind this magnificent creation? And how do you “read” the Astronomical Clock? We’ll find out together.
