Prague is full of amazing photographic opportunities you won’t want to miss. These very small-group tours (4 people max) run in the early morning after sunrise and during the summer in the late afternoon to get the best light, and are ideal for amateur photographers wanting to take photos of the best locations in Prague. Your photographer guide will give tips on creative composition and camera settings, and the tour is perfect for anyone wanting to get the best shots of Prague

Your photographer guide will meet you at a central meeting point in the Old Town and then continue on a walking tour of Prague.

The tour continues from the grand Rudolfinum theater across the Vltava river to the Letna Park viewpoint where you will see an amazing panoramic view of the city. Briefly stopping at the communist Metronome monument and then go by tram to the Loreta church and Strahov Monastery with its picture perfect vineyards and spectacular view from the BellaVista viewpoint.

Walking by the awe-inspiring Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, you will see the historic cobbled streets and iconic red roofed buildings of Mala Strana and the green dome of St. Nicholas Cathedral. The tour continues to Kampa Park and finishing the at the famous Charles Bridge. The tour is mostly on foot, and may include a tram ride (tickets included in the price).

The early morning tour may take an alternative route and include Park Cihelna (classic swans by the river view) and the hidden gem of Novy Svet instead of BellaVista/Strahov.

The tours are a perfect way to see the best of Prague and improve your photography at the same time.

Saw great vantage points - I had already walked around Prague for two or three days before I had my walking tour with Doug, so I'd seen a lot of the must-do sites. However, Doug was able to share vantage points that I otherwise wouldn't have seen as a typical tourist. He's friendly and gracious and has great knowledge of photography. Do it!

Excellent use of the weather - Even with the fog, the itinerary was changed to maximise spots Doug knew to get the right pic and he tailored the 2nd half to cater more for my needs and where I wanted the tour to finish. Being the only one on the tour made it a more personalised tour.

Great PhotoTour! - Had a great time with Doug on a photo tour! I was the only person on this tour, so it was like receiving a private tutorial on composition, considerations while shooting, tips and suggestions I will be able to use for years to come. Doug and I covered a lot of ground in Prague, from shooting below the Charles Bridge, on the Charles Bridge, and high above Prague, where panoramic views existed. Doug is easygoing and personable, so spending 3 hours was easy. It helps to be fit, since we walked to numerous vantage points, but I'm sure he goes at a pace that is comfortable for the client. I would recommend this tour for anyone new to the city, who is looking for great places to get memorable photos to take home, and anyone looking to learn more about the art of photography. Even though the sky was overcast when Doug and I were out, I was pleased with my photos. I returned the next day to apply some of the lessons learned and was even more pleased with blue skies and brighter colors. Thanks for a great tour!

Great photography guide in Prague - The photography tour was great! Doug was extremely quick in his responses to our email and the instructions to get to the meeting point were easy. He made sure to understand our previous photography experience and expectations. There was so much to see and capture, and it was a nice change from the usual tourist trail. Doug gave some tuition on composing photos and was always ready with helpful advice on the photos we took.

A perfect tour for photographers - I booked the tour for my 16 year old son who is crazy about photography and was wanting to learn more about his new camera (a recent birthday present). The meeting point was easy to find, right near the Old Town area. After a quick discussion about my son’s skill level and interests, we set off on a thoroughly enjoyable 3 hour tour around Prague. The tour route was well planned with a good mix of traditional Prague sights and more off the beaten path places. Both of us learned a lot about photography and got a helpful overview of Prague too. I can recommend this experience for anyone who is interested in improving their photography skills.

Prague the Way It Should Be Seen - Doug met me promptly at our meeting point and he provided an thorough overview of where we would be walking and photographing. He was interested in what kind of photographs I was seeking and asked the questions necessary to determine my skills. With this in mind we set off to see the Prague missed by the "been there -- seen that" tourist who only wants pictures to prove s/he was there. It was clear that Doug could plan a walk based on the person's skill level and with me he did. We walked by the standard tourist points to locations which gave the better perspective and more artistic photograph. Doug's interest was in my satisfaction. He offered several tips which were intended to, and did, improve the resulting photograph's composition with the lines and viewpoint that took the picture to a higher level. Doug's knowledge of Prague guided the walk with out-of-the-way views of which photographers seek. Without that awareness I woul just be taking pictures. The photographs were reviewed as taken with suggestions where appropriate. Where offered and followed up on, a better photograph resulted. Doug mentored in a way that will allow me to take his insight and apply it to my photographs wherever I travel from now on. Prague, by its nature, is hilly so a modicum of physical fitness should be kept in mind. That said, Dough never hurried and continuously had my goals in mind. I met them with Doug's able expertise.

Great afternoon of taking photos - The day of the tour we were lucky with a beautifully sunny afternoon for taking photos. The meeting point was easy to find, and our guide was on time, and started by asking about our photography experience and what we would like to gain from the tour. We set off by the river to find some lovely hidden spots and views of the Charles bridge, then took a tram to a superb location on top of a hill where you can see the whole of the city. There was a lot of walking, so make sure you have some comfortable shoes! I got a ton of lovely photos by the end of the tour, and learned a few new things about photography too.
