Highlights
  • Prague Castle - The grand Gothic Cathedral of Saint Vitus and other significant architectural treasures.

  • Loreta Praha - This stunning baroque Marian pilgrimage site features the Baroque Church of the Nativity and a replica of the Holy House, surrounded by cloisters and chapels. While we typically do not enter, you can choose to pay the entry fee (about 10 USD) to view the interior treasures.

  • Little Quarter Bridge Tower - A valuable late Gothic entrance gate to the renowned bridge. Admire the rich Gothic sculptural decorations, including gargoyles, beasts, and even a protective witch.

  • Waldstein Palace - This expansive palace and garden, a charming Baroque structure, was built by one of the most powerful and wealthy Czech noblemen, Albrecht von Wallenstein. Today, it houses the Czech Senate. The beautiful Wallenstein Gardens are open to the public during the summer, free of charge.

  • Charles Bridge - We will stroll across Prague’s oldest bridge, the Charles Bridge, adorned with 30 ancient picturesque statues and the most beautiful Gothic bridge tower in Europe. The bridge has stood since 1357, thanks to - legend says - eggs mixed into the mortar. Touch the magic five-star sign to make a wish, and the power of the saints will help you… Here, you can truly absorb the authentic atmosphere of Prague and step back into the times of golden Prague. Very romantic! You might recognize the scenery from the first Mission Impossible movie.
Near the bridge, you can also see the area known as Prague Venice with the side channel called Devil’s Stream and the famous painted anti-communist John Lennon Wall. At the end of the bridge, you can see the gigantic Klementinum, a former Jesuit College that now serves as the National Library.

  • Staromestske namesti - Walking through the oldest streets, we will arrive at the charming Old Town Square, a 3D textbook of various architectural styles. There are many significant sights: the baroque, cake-like St. Nicholas Church, the Kinský Palace with the city’s finest rococo facade, the Gothic House at the Stone Bell, the spiky-topped Church of Týn, and much more. The Square is dominated by the Jan Hus Statue and the Old Town Hall (damaged by Nazis in WWII). Everyone is amazed by the incredible Astronomical Clock with its hourly show - 12 apostles appearing in two windows and a skeleton ringing the bell. Notice the bloody execution site marked by crosses. We can also reach the Town Hall tower (by lift :-) and enjoy a panoramic view.

  • Church of Our Lady before Tyn - The Church of Our Lady before Týn is one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Prague. Its distinctive twin spires make it an unmistakable Old Town landmark. The illustrious Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe is buried in this church.

  • Wenceslas Monument - 20th-century architecture.

  • Obecni Dum - The most beautiful Art Nouveau building in Prague. The Municipal House facade is an eye-catching monumental architectural composition. Monumental allegorical figures, created by some of the greatest local artists, are displayed all over the facade. Anthropomorphic sculptures are accompanied by Art Nouveau floral ornaments and other classical architectural elements.
It is a civic building that houses Smetana Hall, a celebrated concert venue where the Prague Spring festival is held.

  • Old Town Hall with Astronomical Clock - The Old Town Hall Tower is one of the most striking buildings in Prague. Inside, there is a staircase and an elevator that visitors can use to reach the top and enjoy beautiful views over the Old Town. The amazing medieval clock is located on the side of the Old Town Hall Tower. When the clock strikes the hour, the procession of the Twelve Apostles statues appears before visitors.

The ONLY personal guide to whom you should trust your trip to Prague - Sarka does an amazing job. A very personal explanation of Prague from someone who grew up here and understands the essence and historical details of this wonderful city. We toured with her company eleven years ago and it was so special to do it again this year. We spent three days with her, two in Prague and one day trip to Terezín. A really special visit.

The Best Way to See Prague - When we travel to new cities, we always hire a personal guide to provide historical and cultural backstories to the usual and unusual highlights that each city has to offer. Recently in Prague, we were fortunate to be guided by Sarka through the Jewish Quarter and old city. Not only did she provide us with an incredible amount of information and history, but she also took us to several restaurants that we never would have found on our own. Thanks to Sarka for lifelong memories of her beautiful city.

Best of Prague - (2) 1/2 day tours - Sarka is a wonderful guide -- and person! She is very knowledgeable, personable, and flexible. Communication before the tour was timely, clear and thorough. During the tour (two 1/2 days -- definitely a good way to take a whole day tour), her knowledge and personality shine. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Sarka. If we have the opportunity to go back, we will definitely contact her again. Thank you!!!!!

Outstanding, amazing, and will absolutely use again - I cannot even begin to rate our guide, Lenka, highly enough. She deserves the highest possible rating for going so far and beyond expectations: 1) She made sure our three kids were engaged during our tours. She brought coloring books and markers for them, created interactive activities for them related to our sightseeing, even brought snacks! We were absolutely FLOORED by the level of consideration she showed our kids! 2) Lenka went far beyond what we expected, and made our experience truly unique. She managed to get us "extras" at every turn (a private tour of the Grandhotel Pupp, including a visit to the Presidential Suite!). I've done many tours, group and private, and none compare to the level of service Lenka delivered. 3) Lenka was knowledgable on so many topics, and if ever we stumped her, she was sure to find the answer and get back to us! She is truly dedicated to her craft, and it's clearly she has a passion for sharing culture, history, food, and all aspects of travel.
