Well worth it - A very memorable day excursion from Sihanoukville. Picked up at 7.30am for the 2hr 30 minute drive to Bokor National Park. Our hotel was not on the 'drop down' list for pick up so I contacted the operator direct and he was happy to collect us at our hotel. Stunning scenery and coastal views high up 1000 metres. The temperature is noticeably cooler there and we saw a giant Buddha, old Catholic Church and a temple. Magnificent views of the forest / jungle and we saw dozens of monkeys. It was dry season so no water at the Waterfall but plan B may be a trip to a nearby strawberry farm though it was closed for our visit opening earlier and later in the day. Final stop was 90 minutes in the town of Kampot. Very relaxed there compared to the chaos and dirt of Sihanoukville, now a Chinese casino building site. We are planning a return trip to Kampot as it was superb. Worth mentioning a one hour long 20km very rocky and bumpy road on this excursion which is a negative. You have to do it in both directions but all-in-all it was worth the inconvenience. Driver was superb - safe, spoke excellent English and happy to perform photography duties. Would have been nice if lunch had been included in the excursion but it was no big deal. Recommend this trip.

Misrepresentation - not getting what it was described. No tour guide, did not go to all main attraction points - What we got was a driver and a car for 10 hours, NOT a guided tour. The driver was polite and seems to be a nice guy. He spoke broken English and he had no information for even simple things like what year the structures were built nor any simple history. When we asked questions, often he had to ask the local for the answers. He could not point out what we should be looking for, we just walked around and took picture. He made sure he took our pictures on his phone too. The driver did not take us to the “La Plantation, to learn all about Kampot pepper, and a salt farm” as described on Viator website. He said that required reservation. He did not take us to the Popokvil Waterfall which was the beautiful picture caught our eyes to book this tour. We asked him repeatedly and he said that it was a drought season, there would be no water at the waterfall and he was not taking us there. He did not follow the itinerary as described. Perhaps he had never taken tourist on this itinerary. He thought he was just driving us to the Bokor National Park. We had to ask for all the attraction points that was described on the Viator website, but he did not take us to all of them. His knowledge of the point of interest where we stopped at was very limited. Another peculiar point, we did not see any other tour bus/van/SUV during the entire itinerary. In short, we have been many guided tour around the world, through Viator, GetYourGuide etc, this tour was not even close to it. Simon Cambodia, the tour operator did not deliver what he advertised. He did not sent a tour guide, he sent a driver.
