- Galleon Beach - WE TOUR Nelson’s Dockyard and Shirley’s Heights, finally we will be snorkeling for about an hour around a couple shipwrecks and looking for turtles, we normally always encounter them, but it depends on the visibility that day. I would say 85-90% of guests encounter turtles. If you are a decent swimmer we will also check out The Pillars Of Hercules. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! Admission to the national parks is 15$USD which gives you two tickets one for Nelson’s Dockyard and one for Shirley’s Heights. So to clarify you only pay one time for both parks!

EXPERIENCE NELSON’S DOCKYARD, SHIRLEYS HEIGHTS, AND SNORKELING: Get ready for a guided adventure led by a local spearfisher. Immerse yourself in the exotic allure of the island, both above and below the waves, where you stand a high chance of snorkeling alongside sea turtles and sighting two submerged shipwrecks! The snorkeling spot is mostly in shallow waters off a beach. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR. Our snorkel guide, an experienced spearfisher, will reveal aquatic marvels hitherto unknown to you! This is an exclusive tour, tailored only for you. The duration is approximately 4 hours, with chilled water supplied in the vehicle. Note that lunch is not part of the tour. Videos of your underwater exploration around shipwrecks and turtles will be emailed to you after the tour. Opting out of snorkeling is not an issue, and not every participant is required to snorkel if they wish not to. Entrance fees to national parks are separate and not included. A pair of tickets cost 15$ USD, indicating you pay just once.

Brilliant your highly recommend - Johnny was great. He picked you up from the hotel, amended the tour as we had already been to Shirley Heights and then we spent over an hour in the sea trying to find a turtle. It was poor visability apparently but he was adamant we would find one and eventually we found two! Johnny was incredibly knowledgable about Antigua as well as the fish and was very open and honest. I would I highly recommend the tour to anyone who is wanting to see a land and snorkel tour.

Highly recommend - My husband and I recently booked a snorkeling trip during our vacation to Antigua, however they had to cancel due to things outside their control. That’s what led us to Johnny and I am so glad we found him! He was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all the questions we asked. We chatted a lot and it was great to get to know about him and the area. There were two things I wanted to see during our snorkeling and he searched and searched really wanting to make this a trip to remember and he was able to find both things for me and my husband to see!! I can’t recommend him enough! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you for everything Johnny!!

Tour and a snorkel - We had a great time with Johnny. He was super knowledgeable. Nelson’s Dock Yard was neat. Seeing where we would go snorkeling from the overlook was neat too.

Great snorkeling and above and beyond guide - My wife and I joined Johnny on this tour for our honeymoon and had a blast. He was so enjoyable to be around and we saw great wildlife. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything and ensured we had a wonderful time.
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore historical parts of Antigua while also having a cool snorkeling experience.

Great tour - We had a great time learning about the island and seeing Shirley Heights and Nelson's Dockyard. Highly recommend Johnny's Tours. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed the snorkeling and even got to see a turtle as well as a ton of reef fish. Loved that he sent us a video of what we saw as well.

Awesome time time - We booked this excursion for a honeymoon. It was amazing our tour guy Johnny was good. He showed us the island . The shipwreck we saw under the water was awesome along with The sea turtles and octopuses that we saw . Definitely recommend this for your excursion

Do it. - Genuinely the most enjoyable thing we’ve done some we got here. Jonny was knowledgeable and showed us around Nelson’s Harbor and Shirley Heights. The snorkeling was incredible and we saw shipwrecks, turtles, stingrays and octopuses. Highly recommend.

Great - private guide is the best way to go! - We adore private trips and this did not disappoint for the same price as a group trip from the cruise line. I can't stress enough how you can book bigger, better and cheaper trips outside the cruise line. We had a great time, learned a lot about the island, and had a really enjoyable snorkel, water was perfect - although visibility could have been better but we still saw turtles, spotted stingray, fish, a ship wreck and got video from the trip which was excellent.

Great local guide - Johnny was a great local guide. He shared a lot about life on the island, and the snorkeling was awesome. We saw turtles, shipwrecks, and a bunch of other sea life.

Best Day in Antigua - We had an absolutely fantastic day in Antigua with Johnny! He promptly responded to all of our messages and created a custom tour just for us. He picked us up directly from our resort in his comfortably air conditioned car. He was easy to talk with and shared a lot of local history while answering our many questions! We especially enjoyed seeing the view at Shirley Heights. We had a perfect day to snorkel and saw a turtle and some cool ship wrecks. This was followed by a little hike to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. At the end of the tour I forgot something in his car and he happily returned it for me. We recommend Johnnys tour 100 percent!
