  • Andes Mountains - This hike starts at a popular Mountain Park “Puente Ñilhue-Provincia” located in the foothills of the Andes mountain range, at the eastern area of Santiago. This park is composed of multiple trails, we are going to start our ascent towards “Alto del Naranjo”, for a wonderful crossing from the start point located at the entrance of Puente Ñilhue-Provincia Park, to exit at San Carlos de Apoquindo. During the trekking, we will have the possibility to see the beautiful Andes mountain range, the magnificent Plomo mountain and the city of Santiago. On the top of this beautiful mountain, at 1.890 meters above sea level we will find a huge “Quillay”, an emblematic native tree which has an important role on helping to clean the air we breathe. During the whole trail we will see native flora and fauna, majority of them are endemic species that the expert tour guides will talk about it.

This trek starts at a popular mountain Park “Puente Ñilhue-Provincia” located in the foothills of the Andes mountain range, at the eastern area of Santiago. This park is composed of multiple trails, we are going to start our ascent towards “Alto del Naranjo”, for a wonderful crossing from the start point, located at the entrance of Puente Ñilhue-Provincia Park, to exit at San Carlos de Apoquindo. During the trekking, we will have the possibility to admire the beautiful Andes mountain range, the magnificent Plomo mountain of 5,424 meter and the city of Santiago.

When we reach the top we will delight ourselves with a delicious sandwich at the shade of the Quillay with a privilege view over the mountains. While resting, we can recover our energy and start our walk down to San Carlos de Apoquindo following this stunning trail.

This hill is ideal for explorers who enjoy a more demanding physical activity.

  • A moderate amount of walking is involved. 12 kilometers
  • For participants, Minimum age is 16 years old and 70 years maximum, regarding a good physical condition.
  • Vegetarian and vegan option is available, as also gluten free diet, please advise at time of booking if required
  • We recommended you to bring sunscreen, trekking shoes, long pants, sun hat, camera, warm jacket and day-pack.
