It took a while, but there they were - We booked for Thursday at 12 noon. We first had to take public transport for 1.5 hours. But that was okay with the train. When we arrived in Lagos we received a call at 11.30 that the sea was too rough. It was moved to the next day. So I made that trip again. I found that annoying at the last minute. Especially because the sea did not seem wild at first glance. But safety first. Fortunately, it was made up for by a spectacular trip with that boat alone through the waves. And as icing on the cake, several common dolphins. Friendly staff on all counts.

Be prepared that you might not see dolphins and you can get soaked! - IF you are interested in a dolphin safari consider this experience but note there are no guarantees that you will see dolphins. First, book on TA as they have much better prices than booking direct with them of having your hotel book. They do not honor TA prices which where 4 Euros less per person. In the future, I would not book this kind of boat unless the waters were calm. This is the first time I did not see dolphins, and have had reservations that were cancelled before hand when a different boating company felt the likely was very low due to the weather. We did not see any dolphins, which is not the company's fault as dolphins are wild animals but all we got out of the experience was a very bumpy boat ride and coming back soaked. I would have preferred a larger boat so you did not need to hide your face as the boat speed along looking for the dolphins. We had a marine biologist on board which would have been wonderful, even with out the dolphins, if he explained something rather that just driving the boat. The only thing that was said is that they were looking for birds feeding, which is one way that they spot the dolphins. They do supply a red wind breaker, but since it is short jacket, our pants were soaked- so think about when you go and how you dress. It is probably a fabulous experience when the weather conditions are calm and you can see the dolphins. I felt the boat trip should have been cancelled as they cancelled the afternoon boat trip the day before and 2:00 on that day as well. They did place people, sitting people with possible back issues in the two back rows which haave ros seats instead on individual padded bars.
