The canyoning path at Ribeira das Cales spans 850 meters and usually takes around three and a half hours to finish. The adventure starts near Pico do Areeiro, one of the archipelago’s highest peaks at 1818 meters, situated within the Funchal Ecological Park. Participants will tackle a series of rappels, the highest being 12 meters, and will encounter numerous natural pools filled with the area’s pristine waters.
