Highlights

Puerto Maldonado - We will take you to Puerto Acosta at 8:00 AM. Here, we will embark on a 30-minute scenic journey to our scenic Paradise Amazon Ecolodge.

You can count on the assistance of our staff when you register. After a short rest, we will continue with our tour of the Tambopata National Reserve.

Tambopata National Reserve - CANOPY WALK:
A mere 200 meters from our lodging lies the entrance to the Canopy Tower. Situated at an impressive height of 35 meters, this vantage point is anchored to the base of a majestic Lupuna tree.

Throughout the day, this location offers the chance to spot diverse bird species. Our local expert will be on hand to offer in-depth insights into both the flora and fauna of the region.

Tambopata National Reserve - ZIP LINING:
Following the canopy walk, for those seeking added thrill, we offer zip-lining. Your local guide will share techniques to maximize enjoyment of this exhilarating activity and ensure you’re well-informed of safety procedures. Once set, you’ll soar down the 190-meter zip line to be met at the end by one of our instructors.

After the adrenaline-filled adventure, we’ll head back to the resort for lunch. Our team will serve an authentic Amazonian meal, after which you can take some time to relax.

Tambopata National Reserve - KAYAK:
In the early afternoon, we will embark on a kayak excursion. Our team will ensure you’re equipped with essential safety gear. For added safety, a support boat will trail behind, monitoring the group’s well-being.

Following the kayaking, you’ll have the chance to refresh yourself in the invigorating waters of the Madre de Dios River, a perfect respite from the Amazonian warmth.

Tambopata National Reserve - MONKEY ISLAND:
After you’ve had a chance to enjoy the kayak, we’ll travel 15 minutes to Monkey Island.

You will be able to see a herd of capuchin monkeys, as well as black and white monkeys (Cebus apella and Cebus albifrons). These breeds are usually kinder by nature. Accompanied by a local expert you can get close to them and feed them too.

We will return to the resort at 4:30 PM after this adventure. Here you will be able to see the famous Amazon sunset.

Tambopata National Reserve - After nightfall, we will embark on an expedition, equipped with searchlights and headlamps, to seek out alligators. In this region, one can often spot white caimans and dwarf caimans. We plan to return to the resort by 7:30 PM for a sumptuous dinner, followed by a well-deserved rest.

Butterflies and tarantulas, beautiful and disgusting - I strongly recommend visiting. You get pretty much the same activities in 3 or 4 days, the 4 days offers a little more chilling time. Ayahuasca costs 150$ my experience with the shamans was great! Bring bug spray 30% Deer or more, sunscreen, flashlight and bathing suit. There is little internet, WhatsApp messages make it in and out from time to time but nothing more.

Beautiful experience - My husband, my daughter and I spent a month in Peru. For sure our trip in the Amazon Forest with Paradise Yakari Amazon Tours was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a great time discovering the biodiversity : tarantulas, Capybaras, cute monkeys, colorful birds including macaws, huge ants, all kind of amazing insects, baby caimans and learning about trees and plants. My favourite part of the tour was the Sandoval Lake where we spent the afternoon searching for wildlife, not knowing what to expect and hoping to see some animals or birds. The lodge itself was comfortable and the food was good. Be prepared for no internet and limited electricity. It is the Amazon forest after all. A special mention to our guide, Saai , who was so knowledgeable and who shared his passion for the amazon forest with us. Thanks to the whole team.

An action-packed tour I will never forget. Incredibly organised with an amazing guide. - This tour was such an action-packed, fun experience and one I'll never forget. So many different excursions, zip lining, night tours, visit to Monkey Island. Incredibly organised and our guide Sigh was the best tour guide we have ever had. He spoke incredible English, spoke passionately and had expansive knowledge about the Amazon.

Lovely 4 day experience. - Had a great 4 day experience made all the more special by such lovely helpfully staff. Special mentions to Rosie who organised all the pick ups and drop offs, Franklin our guide who was the best at spotting the wildlife and gave us so much information and insight into the country, people and cultures, and to captain Lil who manovered the boat with skill so we could see the wildlife at its best. Food was all fresh and delicious and the pool was very welcome after hot days adventures.

100% satisfied - We had quite an experience! We loved it from the first day to the last. Our guide knew how to adapt to the weather conditions (we were at the end of the rainy season) to make us experience the most beautiful things at the right time. The food was excellent (unexpectedly in the jungle) I definitely recommend!

Amazing tour with lots of wildlife and adventure - An awesome tour to do in Puerto Maldonado. I came in early December and the weather was perfect, it barely rained. Our tour guide Johnathon was great and very knowledgeable about all things nature in this area of the Amazon.

Amazing Tour Of The Amazon Jungle - Had an amazing time on this tour - It was just about perfect. The animals, wildlife and scenery were breathtaking. Some highlights were the sunrise bird watch tour as well as the piranha fishing (I almost caught one but it slipped off my hook!) The guides all speak multiple languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, English), so it's easy to follow the tours. They were also very flexible in working around various travel arrangements, which was nice. The only downside was that on my final day I ended up missing my 8:45am flight back to Cusco because the transfer from the jungle eco-lodge to the airport took too long (we had to take a 30 minute boat ride to the shore and the taxi that was meant to take me to their airport showed up late). It ended up costing me quite a bit to book another flight and I was in a rush to get to Cusco since I had booked a tour to machu pichu. I guess my recommendation would be to try ask to go to Peurto Maldonado, the nearby town, the evening before any early morning travel since it's obviously quite remote. But this does not take away too much from the overall amazing experience I had and the helpfulness of al the staff.

Ok trip to jungle - The guide ( Jesus) was excellent. The facilities were not adequately described by Viator. For example there was only electric power from 6pm to 9:30 pm; thus my CPAP machine was of no use. There was no internet and this made coordinating plans for post jungle travel difficult. Both these limitations should be disclosed by Viator. Also regular sheets were used for bug netting over beds. This made sleeping even more uncomfortable than need be. This was penny saving at customer expense. Finally we felt the trip was over charging based on the quality of the facility and what local prices are for lodging and meals.
