Loved Experiencing Mayan Culture - Miriam and Renee were an amazing team on this tour! Renee did a great job getting us to each location in a safe and timely manner and took extra care to make the bus cool and comfortable. Miriam was a knowledgeable, engaging, caring guide. She made the day rich and interesting as well as fun. Chichen Itza is an amazing place, the cenote was simply magical and the lunch there was delicious. I appreciated the brief stop at Valladolid as well. It was fun to walk about in that city square. This was a long but beautiful day learning about and experiencing Mayan and Mexican culture!

Chichen Itza & Chichen Cenote tour - My wife and I had a great time! Rey, our guide was attentive and provided a lot of historical information that we would have never known. Private transportation van was cool and driver very safe. Would recommend.

A BLAST - We had an absolutely WONDERFUL time on our tour with Tino. My grandpa, a history fanatic, was so very please with all the information Tino was sharing with us! The bus ride also was very smooth thanks to Augustine!

Chichen Itza, Cenote, and Valladolid in June 2024 - Chichen Itza, Cenote, and Valladolid: All-Inclusive Tour By Sat Mexico Tours Visiting Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid all-inclusive tour on June 20, 2024. Before living in Cancun, I purchased this sightseeing ticket from Viator. I also requested the pickup from our JW Marriott hotel, located in the middle of the hotel area. The tour provider, Sat Mexico Tours, asked us to be at the hotel lobby at 6:30 am for the pickup. In a few minutes, a large bus with approximately 50 passengers’ capacity arrived, and we were on the way to pick up other people. A few days ago, we took a tour of Tulum with DiveIt company on a small 20-passenger bus for only 13 tourists, and this was a much more comfortable situation. Unfortunately, DiveIt company is not serving this more extended tour. On average, a trip to Chichen Itza from the hotel zone takes about 3 1/2 hours, depending on traffic and the weather conditions. Our excellent guide, Alfredo, gave us input about what we would see. He did it in English and Spanish because we had a mixed group, mainly English-speaking tourists and a few Spanish-speaking tourists. Alfredo also did an excellent job discussing the Maya achievements in sciences and their calendar. He offered us the opportunity to purchase calendars with individual birthdays imprinted on them. This fundraiser was for early child development and positive development in adolescence in Mexico. Calendars were ready before leaving Chichen Itza at a cost of about $28. We drove for about 40 minutes before our bus stopped in the area called the Maya Museum, but mainly, it was a huge souvenir (art?) shop representing the Mayan culture. All the souvenirs were expensive. Many tourists spent their time purchasing coffee, some people bought souvenirs, and we were on the way to Chichen Itza. We had 2 hrs and 15 min overall time at the site, sufficient time for the tour. Alfredo gave us comprehensive information about the Mayan culture and history. We still had about 45 min to experience the site on our own. Our short stop at Valladolid concentrated on the tequila tasting, and then we returned to the bus. Unlike our previous tour of Tulum, where we had a comfortable schedule and two guides for the cenote swimming, we decided not to swim at the cenote this time due to the huge crowd trying to go for the swim. We were dropped off at our hotel about 13 hours from the initial pickup time. Overall, it was a good tour, and it would be even better not in the rainy season and with a single language group. Good Travels.

Driver went to wrong pickup location - Driver ended up going to Nizuc moon palace instead of the shrewd pickup location of Nizuc resort and spa. Ruined our whole day/trip. Would not recommend!!!

Broken seat belt, then given really narrow legroom seats - Bus was not that bad but because of a broken seat belt we were given seats with really small legroom for 6 hours (round trip). When we told the tour guide who collect money, he was just careless.

Disappointing, not as described - One of the worst experiences I have booked through Viator. We went with Paul and Mauricio. From poor communication to lack of vegetarian food options. It just felt we were constantly pressured to keep on buying things at each stop. The trip can range from anywhere from 12-14 hrs depending on how delayed your other passengers are. They were dropping off some guests right at their property while others were simply dropped off at the gate, leaving them to walk back after a long day. Would have skipped this if I could!
