Fantastic experience - Alex our guide was the best! He was above and beyond with friendliness and knowledge. He kept us entertained the entire trip and always looked out for every guest wherever we were, making sure we were always safe and informed. He was eager to help anyone in need of anything. Our driver Luis was a fantastic driver in the midst of those crazy streets with all the scooters zooming in and out. We felt very safe with Luis behind the wheel!

Awesome tour with amazing views. Highly recommended! - Puerto Plata was the final stop of our cruise and we booked this tour last minute - we are so glad we did. Alex is a very informative and well spoken guide. He really gave us the sense of history, culture and community. We spent the first part of the tour visiting sites in the city in a much appreciated air-conditioned van. We were a small group which then broke into two - those who were spending the next few hours at the beach and us who were heading to the cable car. Another guide was dedicated to the beach group and we were lucky to have Alex as our private guide for the rest of the trip. The van took us to the top of the mountain where the views were simply breathtaking and the temperature thankfully much cooler. Surprisingly the cable car ride was quite smooth. Once back down it was a quick trip in the van to the cruise port. Chilled water, rum punch and freshly picked bananas were all offered as refreshments.

Don’t miss this taste of Puerto plata and the views from the mountain. - Our guide, Alex, was excellent. The tour was well-done. So much more than I thought. They had several little extras. The cable car and mountain were worth seeing.

Pueto Plata's Cable Car Excursion/buying souvenirs - We really enjoyed the time spent with Xander. He was very informative, helpful, and kind. The excursion was put together well and organized. The reason I cannot give a 5 star is because at the Christus Redentor Statue we were encouraged to buy souvenirs for a good price without tax. After using my credit card, I found out I was charged tax and charged more than the price I was told for the items. Doing this excursion, wait and buy items at the shops at the end of the excursion and do not buy from the top of the mountain before the tram.

Left Me Twice & Didn't Receive A Refund - The meeting instructions weren't very clear and I got left. I contacted the guide and didn't receive a response until they were taking off for the next trip which was fine since we still had time before the ship left. I ran back to the meeting point and they had left me again. Poor meeting instructions and poor communication and I never received a refund. I would not book again.
