  • Catarata La Coca - At an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.
  • El Yunque National Forest - Embark on an unforgettable adventure at the Puente Roto, or “Broken Bridge,” recreation site – a hidden gem nestled along the Rio Mameyes’ recreation segment. Recognized by Congress as a Wild and Scenic River for its breathtaking natural beauty, this undiscovered haven promises an immersive experience in an undeveloped oasis.

Features: Water Wonderland: Dive into the spacious water play area created by the river’s width, offering the perfect setting for swimming, wading, and riverside picnics.

Location: Discover this pristine retreat at Road 988 km 2.7, where tranquility meets nature’s splendor.

Safety First: ⚠️ Weather Watch: Stay informed about changing weather conditions and potential flash floods to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.

Leave No Trace: Embrace environmental responsibility by packing out your trash, preserving the beauty of the river. Let’s protect this natural haven together!

  • Yokahu Observation Tower - This 69 foot tower was built by Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth (former Forest Supervisor and Director of IITF) in the early 1960’s. Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view). The dense old forest of the Baño de Oro Research Natural Area in the upper Mameyes Valley to the east may also be viewed.

  • Playa Luquillo - 3:30pm to 5:30pm - Two hours at Luquillo Kioskos beach for lunch and relaxing before we head to the Bio Bay Night Kayaking Tour. There many varieties of kiosks and restaurants and after lunch you can enjoy the beach.

Delightful - It was absolutely delightful. However the 4 hour stay on the beach was a little much. We did not know that was what leisurely lunch and shopping on the beach meant.

Great tour! - I loved this tour, I really enjoyed the whole day! Our tour guide was Rafael and he was great, very nice and knowledgeable. The tour was great as they take you to 3 different locations and you get to see a lot of the island. Be prepared to for a full day of activity, it is doable but it is a long day. Eat a good breakfast, bring an extra change of clothes and a towel if you plan on getting in the water, which you totally should! Bring water shoes and a water bag for your phone for the river/beach, sunblock and bug spray for the kayaking! Overall this tour was great and I highly recommend it.

Fun day in Puerto Rico - Great day. Fun way to see the best of Puerto Rico - tropical rain forest, beach and kiosks in Luquillo, and biolum bay (so cool). They did a great job answering questions before hand and getting us around.

Wimpy but a W overall! - The trip was great! I wish the hike would have shown more of el Yunque and been more interactive. It was more so a stroll through the rainforest. I also wished there would have been cliff jumps and waterslides but we just splashed around in a creek. To be fair, we got exactly what was advertised but this tour was a lot wimpier than other ones. Still was very beautiful! The rainforest, Luquillo, and kayaking were all amazing especially the kayaking! Tour guides were so sweet

Well worth it, great for solo travelers! - An amazing experience, rain or shine!! As a solo traveler I was worried I may not enjoy myself as much as the other guests—wrong!! Beautiful rainforest, a nice beach with great cocktail and food stands, and beautifully bright water! Expect to get wet whether from the beach or the rain, but don’t let that keep you from booking! Bring sunscreen, bug repellant, and shoes that drain well.

Amazing Experience - Raphael was an absolute joy. He shared his knowledge of El Yunque with delight and was great at keeping everyone engaged and happy. The waterfall, nature walk, and river swim were super fun. The Bioluminescent Bay was hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had. There are no words for how amazing that was. Emily was our main kayak guide and she was also extremely knowledgeable and super fun. I would absolutely do this tour again.

Separate these activities - This is a very long day. The El Yunque part was amazing and I give this a 5 star review. Shout out to Rafael -- he was great!! We thought logistically it made sense to do this all in one day since we are staying in San Juan and it's a 45 minute drive to Fajardo and Luquillo is on the way. But we spent 4 hours in Luquillo and you really only need time to eat and then you're done. The beach isn't anything special. The bio bay was really cool but there were about 1000 people too many at one time because there are so many tour operators. And when we were going back in the dark there were large motorized boats coming the other way. I'm shocked no one has been run over by those boats. The kayak company this tour uses is fair but the guides really didn't speak to us other than to give instructions. They did give a little information on the phytoplankton that cause the bioluminescence but really only minimal info.

Fun, but is it worth it? - I had a great time but felt this excursion was mostly spent traveling throughout the day. It wasn’t worth the price but I was still happy to experience the nature side of PR.

Find a different tour group. - First the great: the Bio bay kayaking was amazing! Was better than my wildest dreams. The Captains of the group were knowledgeable & helpful. Second the "fine": the rainforest was beautiful but there was no hiking. We stopped at a Tower, a waterfall & a small river. That's it. Lastly the poor: we were dropped off at Luquillo for more than 5 hours! (Not the 2 as stated). We were told pictures that were taken would be available. They are not. All phone numbers are disconnected. No response to emails. Find another tour group.
