Highlights
  • Manuel Antonio National Park - Our activity consists of a leisurely, gentle 2.2-kilometer stroll along a mixed gravel and sandy path adjacent to the beach, with the primary goal of observing as much wildlife as we can. Our emphasis is on wildlife observation, nature photography, imparting current information about nature, and sharing anecdotes from our experiences in the field.

Approximately two hours into our journey, we reach a cafe where we take a brief pause. This is an opportunity for you to purchase some refreshments or a bite to eat. A mere 100 meters further, the safest and most central swimming beach of Manuel Antonio National Park beckons you with its pristine white sands and inviting waters. Another 100 meters brings us to a second delightful swimming spot, which marks the end of our guided tour. You are welcome to linger in the park, but if you’re looking to exit, we’ll take a 25-minute break for you to snap some photos or enjoy a quick dip.

The return walk to the park’s entrance is quicker since the temperature has usually risen by this point and most of the wildlife has finished feeding for the morning. Nonetheless, the scenery remains breathtaking.

HIGHLY Recommend! - Josue C was an incredible guide. Super friendly, remembered everyone's names, and was very knowledgable. The youngest in our group was almost 4 years old, and he did just fine. We saw way more than we would have without a guide. He spotted more than half the animals we did ourselves.

Perfect for families - Excellent! Perfect for our family. We wouldn’t have seen half the animals without the guide. Our guide was Josue C and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. Remembered all the kids’ names, was interactive, made us videos and took pics for us, etc. HIGHLY recommend, especially if you can get Josue as your guide. Thanks for the experience!

Educational tour with a great guide - We had a very good tour through the national park with our guide Albin, without whom we would hardly have seen any animals. So it was worth it.

Just do it!!!! - Other then a few set backs with booking and not having internet connection to buy the separate park pass and had to stress at last minute to get in to park after all said and done… Our tour guid Albin Gutierrez, was excellent and could not have made this experience without his knowledge and dedication to his profession of detail to finding amazing things to look at that we completely would have missed out by just going on this venture alone. We saw everything from the amazing Beauty of just the land and ocean. And everything from insect to animal or reptile. Albin, had a very kind and caring attitude towards making sure we had the best possible experience with seeing every thing from insect, crustacean, reptile, birds , best yet the monkeys and sloths. Was truly an incredible experience. Would recommend everyone to check it out!!!

Our guide had a lot of... - Our guide had a lot of knowledge about the park and the animals, and we were able to see some wildlife we wouldn't have been able to spot on our own (although, this was largely enabled by the guides all sharing information on where they had spotted animals and not just due to the spotting skills of our guide). It was also nice to be able to view animals through the spotting scope and not just on our own or with binoculars. However, our guide frequently got tired of standing on his feet, and in the 2.5 hour tour, took several breaks where he would have us sit down and he would talk to us about what we had seen. I felt like this could have been done while we were actually viewing the animals (during which time he'd make jokes instead of talking about the wildlife we were observing). As a good portion of the tour was spent sitting and waiting for the guide to recover, the experience overall left me feeling a bit shortchanged. I feel like we would have seen more just stopping where the other groups were and viewing the wildlife through my own binoculars.
